the thing that makes the biggest difference is the unit itself in terms of Quality, Sony are ok as long as you get the 4x52W units not the 45W ones ( 52W ones all the same sound quality regardless of price ) other than that go for Alpine, not Pioneer or Kenwood, JVC they all crap, just check out...
Bloke called Henk, Dutchman who lives in the Philippines, Fastchip.nl alternatively pay up here and check the sale section for used ones for around a ton, buy the maps for £89 and then sell the unit after again for a ton, job done.
Just use Highlevel input from rear speakers, affects speaker performance though. only downside to a sub in this car.... well mine anyway is I ended up chasing rattles everywhere and adding foam to all screws and clips to stop it, have nice bass from from my 10" Rockford now though, but sounds...
I've bought the kit for £22 comes with " full instructions " will do it over the weekend and try and make a pictorial as I am sure there are a few people out there wanting this, went for Blue on Blue should look quite good, bought it from crazy LEDs last night, plus at the same time I'll have...
I want to change all the lights to call me old skool chav, neon blue. I have a soldering iron sod it might buy the " complete Kit " and see how it goes, I suppose the whole dash has to come off? and buy new clips etc just in case?
Serious though, i would pay someone to do that, looks so much better, boss job there.
makes me want to come to Manchester slip you a couple of Hundred to do it for me. the kit I've found is £22 is that overpriced? how many hours could the average r****d do that in?
Afternoon All,
Has anyone actually fitted one of the conversion kits, tried finding a guide but not seen any.
can get the dash apart fine but what I can't figure out if is how to sort the screens ( trip, AC and radio one ) out as I'm sure they'll mix the orange with Blue?
Not seen many pics...
I have the Sn019 on mine, just one back box but it's not loud at all except for when on idle it starts to drone away, regular cruising it's fine, apparently the rs192 doesn't fit too well either but my one went on perfectly fine ( get new hangers too )
check sale section though, every few weeks...
Honestly, probably none of that but when I went it was £250 fully fitted for a cat back, the car was an MK3 Astra running a C20 let and getting original ones from the Cavaliers and Calibras wasn't an option so it was all I had really, nothing off the shelf fitted or simply couldn't afford it. I...
Not all of them dude, that's a bit unfair even if someone on here quoted them as Hill Billies lol
Some are quite skilled.......... some. as long as they aren't the ones using a regular pipe bender it should be good stuff. the ones in Carshalton are alright I used them for old motor.
I'm BACK! and FLOL at this, why would a stealth be quiet? have you ever heard a stealth jet fly over? go the airshow next year, or run support on MW3 rack up 14 kills and off you go, LOL.
Yep it was, was down the road from where I live to.
60 in a 30 will lose you your license, but I held my hands up and took the wrath of the court, certainly changed the way I drive.
Jokes on here, I have 6 points for doing 51 in a 30, got taken to court, £400 fine my insurance is high for this and have suffered it for the last 3 years, you have to pay for your mistakes and take it like a man ( or sl*t ) it's not forever and loads of people in the same boat mate.
Can't...
Someone might want this already done, makes the belt jobs cheaper and it's only in use for 3 weeks a year ( providing your rubbers are good and doesn't condensate in the winter ) and it's not exactly an easy job to do.
Not sure on the frame but I took the whole lot and they went straight in, It had a trophy spoiler on too which I got for £15 but sold that for £160 on ebay, couldn't be ar8d with the boot ram issue for the sake of a spoiler.
I saw them in a smashed up 172, and was gobsmacked, asked the guy how much he wanted, said £150 I tried so hard not to smirk but I skipped all the way back to the car with my socket set and smiled all the way home, best investment too, can sell them anytime for £600 easy.
Just buy a 182? not exactly expensive, and Ktec still make the 172 to 182 back box thing surely that will fit with the need for some bodger to slice your car up ( explain that to insurance as well first what your doing and you are modifying the structure ) More research required. I got...
Mine was non Cup back in the day.......... after being scammed by Hertfordshire car centre saying it was a cup and not knowing the wiser, but a court case solved that and bought me........ KTEC Coilvers ( best for money ) Cup Spoiler, 172 Cup Turinis best looking ones, Skoda Splitter, Scorpion...
