Drexler do one, they posted about it on their facebook about 6 months ago
have a play with setup though, I thought mine badly needed one from day one with the factory SuperSports, I changed them at 10k miles for a set of Pilot sport 4 and it TRANSFORMED IT! had I heard it I would have assumed...
Got the bay cleaned up a bit this morning. Job for this afternoon if my 4yr old will amuse herself enough is swap the tank, fuel lines and get the abs, brake pipes and master cylinder off ready for the 182 items
Been struggling for time recently but had a few hours today so got the engine out so I can get the bay tidied up, master cylinder, abs and brake lines to swap next along with tank and fuel lines
If it's a tuner list which a 2003 will you need the connects2 or the official Renault version (tunepoint? I think it was called)
If it's an update list one of the cheap eBay cables is all you need
I assume he lost the brakes and was using the engine to try and slow it down?
unreal that people risk their life by buying knock off safety gear, you would be better saving weight and just not fitting any at all if that's the case!
Yeah will.work fine, the pump doesn't activate under a certain pressure anyway so it's not like it's been running with no gas and caused any damage etc
Thank god the interior is now done, not in a hurry to do that again!
Just the uch to fit properly and head unit to install.
Re fitted the standard steering wheel without cruise control as I'm going to get the 182 one re trimmed as it's past it.
Not sure if the standard non RS dials will work...
Got all the interior wiring in today then set about building it back up, the van, having been a work horse for 19yrs had a horrible carpet with oil all over it etc so decided to put the 182 one in, which is in good condition and the 182s got a nicer carpet to begin with, down side, ITS TWICE THE...
I bought a 172 that had an engine replacement at some point and the harsh place that done it just cut all the air con pipes out.
I got a new set of pipework from a brakers, fitted it all, got it leak tested, got it gassed up and it worked perfectly
They generally idle quite nicely the k4m, is it running good quality fuel? Ignition coils are poor on them and like to fail. When was the spark plugs last done
Another full day spent today, doesn't feel like much progress. The van is fully gutted and the 182 is about an hour's work from being the same so tomorrow the jigsaw puzzle starts and the van can start getting built back up on the inside.
I always laughed at people who strip wiring looms to...
ah good to know about the rack cheers, at least theres no rack bushes to worry about then!
na subframes are identical the wider track and extra castor just comes from the arms (apparently!) I found an old thread comparing subframes and they were identical
the racks are the same anyway I just need to drill a hole for the 4th mount, the 182 is a cat c write off that's been poorly repaired so id rather stick with my subframe that I know is good and straight, that was my reasoning :)
Thanks mate I couldn't find a definite answer as everyone seems to leave the standard rack in place, that makes my job easier as im using the dci subframe so don't need to touch it!
Guys I've searched and searched and can't seem to find a definite answer.
So I'm looking at doing an EPAS conversion but the difference for me is I'm currently re shelling a 182 into my DCi van so it's currently running the full DCi EPAS.
I'm going to run the pure Motorsport kit on the engine...
Got dash and looms out both cars today, job for tomorrow is fit the 182 carpet (better condition) into the van, fit the loom and get the dash all back in just ready for the engine swap!
