sold the 220 trophy a couple of months back so the van has been on daily duties and doing epic, and this week the dreaded high pressure fuel pump failure started. Checked the fuel filter this morning and found metal filings, 30 mins later I bought this...
an hour later and I was at this...
haha, id rather have everything working, for now I've ordered a genuine clutch and belt kit/dephaser so I can fire it all over and get it all running, scrap whats left of the 182 then tidy it up over winter!
can you code the ESP out with clip or am I going to have to fit all that too?!
yeah rear drums I know are more than upto the job but assuming the abs isn't too much hassle I would rather do it for easier maintenance and they look better and of course the wider track and thicker torsion bar. - my understanding is I need non RS disc abs sensors from a dci 100 or 1.6 16v?
it...
I know a few guys on here have done this conversion so looking to clear up a few points, my high pressure pump has gone on the van so this afternoon have pulled the engine and box out and have a cat c 182 coming tomorrow to re shell into the van.
EPAS, I assume this is the preferred setup now...
was just a joke about the wheels as I know how anal trophy owners are about wheels, xenon's, dampers etc!
However!!! As much as I miss my 182 trophy, I miss my 220 trophy a lot more!
I've got the big Halfords industrial roll cab filled with Halfords tools, never had to return anything.
I've got my old 200? Piece kit that I use for the real shite messy jobs to save using my good stuff and it's spot on, I've had massive bars on the ratchet to lever on them, jumped up and down...
It's strange because from all the reading I've done I can't find anyone having the same issues with the glow plug light on, most of the time it's not coming on at all.
Going to fire a set of plugs in it anyway but it's just odd that it would start perfectly every day then suddenly the issue...
Sure someone here will have experience with this.
DCi 65, glow plug light is permenantly on and it's struggling to start when cold. Turns over for 10-15 secs then starts with a ploom of white smoke, turn it off when it's warm for example at the petrol station and it starts perfectly as normal...
It's a genuine 16v sport that's been colour coded poorly. Replace all the CC bits from a scrappy and it would tidy up nicely.
Colour looks a bit UV faded but maybe just a poor photo.
He dropped it from £500 to £350 still a bit expensive for what it is/work required
The r-link runs on Android anyway, what benefits would you get from replacing it? I'm pretty sure the benefits wouldn't outweigh loosing the rs monitor
just not long sold mine after doing 20k in it in a year.
Best Renault sport I've ever owned, and I've had every hot Clio since the ph1 apart from the V6's! Once you settle into a groove with it its fantastic, hugely more capable than its predecessors
I found the interior build quality was...
if you have to ask that question then you don't want to be spending money on it! that turbo is tiny and of course the manifolds are completely different
the engine can be turbocharged, bloke is your man with his twingo RS adventures.
My Halfords one has been used a few times a week for 15yrs, been spot on, going to replace it with one of the Costco ones soon though and promote the Halfords one to the back of the van
