Rattle at 2500 rev off boost.

is it a rattle or a buzz, both of mine make an odd buzz at a certain rpm cant remember it off the top of my head, one is a 2014 one a 2016, with 90k and 5k miles on them, exact same f**king noise! does my nut in Interesting to hear what you think of the Dyn S 120, about to order one to replace...

can remapping my 1.4 16v 98bhp clio mk2 damage my engine?

I would imagine so, ive never had a poke about the the twingo engine in great detail but I think the block will be the same so it will just be the head. as far as I know the mk2 k4m clios didn't have VVT and the MK3 ones did, but the ecu in the mk2 will support VVT being the same as the 172...

can remapping my 1.4 16v 98bhp clio mk2 damage my engine?

yeah K4M and K4J engines are basically identical just with a different stroke I assume they use the same ECU but not 100% as ive never really looked into it, Siemens Sirius32 on the 1.6 16v anyway, same as the 172

can remapping my 1.4 16v 98bhp clio mk2 damage my engine?

any car is worth remapping if done properly and that's the key statement. Your neighbour getting the files for free unless hes a nice generous guy who works for a highly regarded mapping company is a walk away moment. best way to increase power on the 1.4 16v if your set on mapping it is wait...

    197s are getting silly cheap?

that's the one, bought it brand new, went bang 1500 miles later, they made a c**t of repairing it, I fought them for 9 months, RUK, Arnold Clark and RCI Finance all involved, got no where, traded in £4k out of pocket when it was 11 months old! - older and wiser now I would have point blank...

    197s are getting silly cheap?

r27 was my favourite car I owned out of ph1 172, ph2 172, 172 cup, 182, 182 trophy, 197 r27 and 200 with cup pack. - the 200 would have been it but mine was a heap. yellow R27 with 200 box, rack, and dampers would be perfect for me

182 vs. 200 for daily use

that was always the mk3s appeal it was never compromised, the short 6th gear was s**t on the motorway but when you change at the shift light in 5th and it only drops about 300rpm then its fantastic when your pushing on!

182 vs. 200 for daily use

I do a load of miles in my Dynamique S Clio IV and I never get the urge to take the trophy these days, I only drive it when I'm going out for a blast, I have no want to sit in traffic or drive thru town in it! and its 100% standard, hardly a race car - Lovely seating position, arm rest, the best...

182 vs. 200 for daily use

I done 500 miles a week in my 197, all B roads with a stretch of motorway at 5am start 8pm finish so it was quiet roads and was a riot, I loved it although it kept breaking lol done the same trip for a bit in my 172 cup and it was equally as fun but I was exhausted when I got home lol the mk3 is...

    Management for K4M Turbo build

Looking for a bit of advice. I picked up an MOT failure 1.6 16v Clio mk2 for £100, I had one of these years ago and always found it a good little engine, anyway ive since got it on the road and after a few weeks of pondering what to do with it and some youtube time watching what some of the...

    DCI 100 fitting help

you need the small plastic elbow that comes out of the turbo, I needed it when I put an 80 Intercooler onto a 65. currently your turbo outlet just goes thru a U shaped hose direct into the engine inlet. the big plastic pipe comes from the engine inlet, down the the o/s of the engine bay to the...

    Used Clio Trophy 220 reliability

I'm really confused by the Clutch concerns? even if the 5,000 miles have all been done on a quarter mile track, I bet the car with launch control wears the clutch a lot better than any of us doing a launch in a proper, I mean older clio RS.

    My new Cupra Derv

front needs to come up a bit but that looks great! I had AP's on my Twingo GT and they were fantastic for the money. much better than FK's I had used previously on Clios also it would suit a smaller front plate like the 172/182s run!

    DCI 65 intercooler

I have a dci 100 intercooler spare, it has the extra pipework required to fit it to an 80 so you would just need the 2x 80 pipes
