the welds will crack bud. i didnt believe the hype until i witnessed it first hand. i have seen a few milteks crack on the welds and start blowing. id stay clear tbh
thats right, its not a ford, well done.
and looks dont so much come into it, as long as it doesnt have a 4x4 type stance. function over form in 99% of applications, clios like most cars handle at their best with 15mm front rake
This.
This sort of set up is something I am interested in. Have you any pictures of how your car sits? And what is your opinion on the handling?
This sort of set up must be one of the best for a car that's still used on brittish roads ?
They are very smart coilovers, I have seen these for sale in your traders section. There is plenty more adjustment on those, although that is about the ride the ride height I am looking for for my 182.
When setting suspension up on the mk2 clios, does anyone take bernoulis and fluid dynamics...
I don't want to remove the rear adjusters, that messes up the damping because the dampers are not designed to run that low.
The mk2 clios come with silly amounts of front rake standard. To get rear rake you really have to get the back end down and the front end up!
(I have wrote this assuming...
I bought my 182 with v maxx on and no rear adjusters. Expect your rear tyres to rub the paint off your arches.
Also, the rear adjusters are silly expensive. £160 for the pair they are.
It makes no sense to remove the rear adjusters on v maxx, you gain 4mm if that.
I am looking forward to...
hi
the car i have is a normal 182, it doesnt have the cup suspension bolt spacing. basically the v maxx came on my car, i had no choice about them. they are s**t. i used to work with air suspension and we were the pioneers of the bag over strut air installs so i have experience with the...
Thanks for your input buddy. I had thought about gaz before, but unfortunately I heard nothing but bad things abiut them. I wouldn't buy v maxx again, for a track day / fast road set up try are shocking. Far too soft and crashy.
Are KWs better than the Koni kit?
Which springs are better for...
Hi, I bought my 182 back in April as a project to work on and make into a mint example. The car came with v maxx coilovers on, seized up and corroded. They are also seized very low, I have found the v maxx to be very soft and I get slot of rubbing from them and noises especially when cornering...
I had a look at these on henks website the other night. It came out quite expensive though at about £200 ish for dome reason.
Can someone tell me what I need to map my 182?
Obviously the RS Tuner unit it's self, but what else?
The law is this; if the car passes an emissions test, CAT or no CAT then it is legal. That's why insurance companies let you declare de cat pipes.
I did some research into it a few years back for another car i had and that was the conclusion.
I would like to have gone to CSS today. Mega skint this month though, I already have my tickets for Renault day and trax so I'll be attending them instead.
i have had a few wheels powder coated before. i never masked anything off though, had the full wheel done. then when i re fitted the wheels and tyres to the car they were fine for 1000's of miles.
