That does look pretty awesome. Apart from the spoiler.
Was expecting it to look like one of those Red Corsa B's that all seem to suffer horribly from fading!
I think you've done quite well with them photo's mate! I'm guessing you used a point and shoot, which some of them have come out really well!
Lovely car. Don't forget tyre shine though! It's a must for black/white otherwise your tyres look dirty!
Think its down to personal preference as to what you prefer the look of / what size your after. No advantages / disadvantages of one or the other.
Remember any suade wheel is going to deteriorate over time, whereas a leather one shouldn't.
Yea sounds like the nut is fucked. Just grind it off, if you've got a new one ready to go on.
Okay mate. Just remember you need to grind the bit off the end of the decat, otherwise you'll still have exactly the same problem even with the new kit.
As in the title. Thinking of getting the newer style Renault Sport badge for my 182 (The 197 style not the newest one)
Just wondered where people get them from, and where's the cheapest?
To be fair if your decat hasn't had the bit after the flange ground off, there's not a lot the garage could've done to stop it leaking.
So they may not be as bad as you think. Seems weird if the bolt is just spinning. Definitely just the nut?
Is the nut actually turning, or is the spanner...
There is a gasket at the front end of the cat.
You can get the gasket kit direct from renault including gasket/bolts/washers/springs. ~ £27
The rear of the cat there is no gasket. Just buy a new clamp, and use some high temp silicone sealant.
Might be a good idea!
I've got a decat in, and left my original Lambda in it.
So when it comes to MOT might just get one of them cheap ones and leave it in the cat.
Just adjusts the headlights, maybe rear breaking as well? because obviously if you have any weight in the back, the front of the car will point upwards. Nothing to worry about.
Are you using two spanners? You need to use one spanner to hold the head of the bolt, and the other to loosen the nut itself. Otherwise the whole thing will just spin.
Ha same.
Removing cat / decat is easy though mate if you've not done it before.
Just remember the order the springs/washers go on the manifold end when your taking it off!
Take them off and lie them flat if you use any chemicals on it to stop it running down the alloy.
You never know it might come off with a good scrub from a stiff brush!
When I worked at Halfords and fitted them, they came with a magnetic roof mounted aerial.
So I'd run the wire down the back of the car and then pop the new aerial out the top of the boot behind the existing aerial.
Obviously you'd have a tiny bit of wire showing where it came out onto the roof...
