Just pull up on the shock to make sure its fully extended. Then its easy and don't need compressors. Yea two bolts at bottom can be a bit tricky to line up sometimes!

I also used black hammerite. Not used on track though, but mine was fine. Brushing it on will be better than spraying too, if your planning on doing it without taking them off the car.

Try what Pastieman said. But as said, if your orange petrol light is on, it won't show anything. Probably a good thing or people would be using it till the car told them they had a mile left. Which would be wrong as its not that accurate. Then Renault would be getting complaint after complaint.
