I had this with mine. Every time I put force onto the unlock key thing to turn it, it just slipped off the locking wheel bolt.
I took it too a garage and got them to do it with a buzz gun, as they could push the removal tool onto the bolt from the front, preventing it slipping off whilst undoing...
Yea serv light comes on because the airbag light is on. As soon as I put my old seats back in it went off, so mine is definitely because of the seats, because as far as I could I wired them up the same.
Yea you can sort it, people have done it when they've installed bucket seats with resistors...
I don't think it will leak, mine isn't totally sealed and never had any problems.
Re. RCA and power yea thread them under the plastic sill bit. Pull up the rubber door seal bit, and you can either take the whole plastic thing out, by undoing the rear seatbelt lower bolt holder thing, and...
It depends if your old Clio seats had airbags in.
Because the sport seats have airbags actually in the seats, and if your old seats didn't your airbag light will be on even if you did plug them in, because of the difference in resistance.
I think that's why anyway.
My airbag light stays on...
Someone posted another thread in the media section of their new white 200 with red recaro's
http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?527732-My-GW-200
When I rung up about having my wheels aligned, I was told that standard Clio's you can't adjust camber only toe.
So I proceeded to tell them about mine being on coilovers, which seemed to stump them a bit. Needless to say I didn't use them!
Welcome to the forum!
quick list of starter mods that I can think of:
-Colour code plastic bump strips/bullets
-Colour theme'd diamonds/badges
-Clio sport top grille
-Silver vision indicator bulbs
-Lowering springs
-Renault Alloys (not sure if your model came with alloys or not!)
-Splitter...
Here's Fubar's guide for removing the front bumper.
http://www.cliosport.net/content/guides/fubar/bumper_guide.pdf
Then as above with the bolts and headlight comes right out.
Seat removal is easy.
Its literally 4 Bolts on each corner under the seat, the nuts undo from underneath the car then the seat lifts out.
There's two covered by rubber plug things underneath on the side nearest the door.
Then there's two in the middle around by the exhaust. There's two holes in...
I can't remember sorry! But there should be two actually one each side, pretty much next to each other at the top towards the back of the arch underneath.
If I remember, there's
two torx screws at the top
two bolts underneath the bumper about number plate distance apart
two bolts at the top of the arches either side, holding the corners of the bumper onto the rear quarters.
No you hardly notice it tbh. It will still always shows the clock. Probably the temp too but mine didn't have that!
It will just look like it does when you turn your standard radio off at the moment.
For removing the dash, see Fubar's Guides, you can't go wrong when following that.
You can get them out without removing the dash, but its easier to remove it so you can see what your doing.
In the Clio you don't need any facia surrounds, or wiring harnesses. You simply pull out the old...
My original seats didn't have airbags, and I fitted some Clio sport seats which do have airbags.
Even though I wired them up exactly the same, yes my airbag light stays on. I just can't be bothered to do anything about it lol.
I'm 18 with Admiral on my own policy £1200 fully comp.
I have got one years driving experience though, but that was only as a named driver.
Put one/both of your parents on your policy as named drivers that drops the premium.
Yea the headunit will be 45w Max, so will only realistically be outputting around 15-20w RMS, so your components are underpowered off the headunit.
Yea Amping the components to your vibe two channel amp would improve the sound massively!
You sure the 45/55w power from your headunit isn't max output?
So amping the components with an external amp that makes 60w RMS would be a big improvement.
Just thought I'd link my listing for Red Dead Redemption on Xbox 360 if anyone's interested.
Ending today :)
