So after the previous Clio was no longer :(
Rather finding another poverty spec one, I waited till a decent spec arose around Manchester.
This came with Electric Sunroof, Climate Control, Auto Lights, Auto Wipers and best of all Phase 3!
I had to look through the tints and the chav spec...
Only one way to find out I suppose as all exhausts are different. That's why a custom one is perfect.
A cherry bomb is a 4-5" metal scaffolding tube that's stupidly loud. Gives you instant chav status iirc.
Quite a lot of people have a prospeed exhaust which are custom fit to your car the exhaust itself is a 3-3.5" slash cut tip. The tip then sits flush with the rear bumper.
^^ like that but slash cut.
But as its a custom jobbie it cost a fair few pennies especially for a 1.2.
Why not go back...
a cut-out where your exhaust is so it doesn't foul the bumper itself, either that or let the exhaust melt the bumper :o.
You could spray it yourself then get annoyed over the finish then end up getting it professionally done, I've been there done that :).
Pearl Black rear sport bumper are...
You can run a sport rear bumper on its own, you don't need arches.
But then you may get some extra drag and whistling when you're on the motorway.
The arches fit the back of the wheel.
Plus you may need a cut out if you want to keep that exhaust with a sport bumper.
I bought a rattle can from halfords recently think they call it pearlescent black.
MV - NV common misconception when the stickers are bad quality.
I'm sure there is just 1 shade of pearl black it just depends on how bad/good your paintwork is whether you'll get a good match.
Yours in NV676 (Pearl Black) The oval plates are known to disappear.
Hence on my old clio I replaced mine - http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?668737-Oval-plate-VIN-sticker-replication
At this point it changes from blue to yellow so as OP was saying do a half turn clockwise or anticlockwise dependant on which way you rotated it from.
Then the indicator stays yellow at the squib connections are central and no more errors or lights on dash.
If you're thinking on doing a dash conversion don't buy a kit they inflate the price. Buy the SMDs LEDs and twist bulbs separately.
As said keep colours all the same theme. I've got rid of my orange lights altogether, looks nice but I just couldn't get familiar with having that light.
Asking in one of the detailing threads will be your best bet, a few layers of wax and some autoglym EGP seems fine for me.
If you have an aftermarket headunit it's always nice to keep the same colours throughout.
A few layers of wax or some sealant should be reet. But then you may end up up restoring them in a years time.
Regarding the dash conversion give it a bash, I'm handy with a soldering iron so it was the first thing to be done.
Re: A BLANK CANVAS, just purchased a clio 1.2, want to revitalize it, any suggestions
Welcome pal, I'd colour code, aero wipers and a good service.
Keep it clean :)
I couple of the foreign Clio forums are a saving grace (once translated) forum-clio is very good.
Now I have a new 1.2 dynamique and I have the cruise and esp connectors at the panel. I've tried to bridge A2 - A3 yet dash doesn't display SET ---, I have a ph3 so digital centre LCD. Most of the...
