There are only 4 blocks on total. 1 large black and 1 large white. They can both only go in their own slot and coudlnt be mixed up. Theres also a small blue and a small yellow block, they are colour coded on the headunit so cant mix them up either.
Radio will only work if keys are in
The clio passed its MOT this morning. A few advisories but nothing major and no rush to sort. Im going to order the service parts now I know it doesnt need anything major.
@YorkshireKyle very kindly posted a standard headunit to me! Thanks again mate.
It looks a lot better than the...
To add to this. I have just put a standard head unit in, and when starting the car each time i have to re enter the radio code. Its as if it isnt remembering it?
The key when in the barrel is definitely playing up, i have to slightly knock it back on itself for the radio and climate etc to power up

No mate, not then either! Only when key is in and turned to at least the first setting.
Well actually, i can turn the key to a first turn where nothing starts to operate in the car but, no dash lights etc start up, but the interior lights will work then.
Thanks mate. Yes i know the barrel is what the key goes in. I just meant the actual key, when in my hand feels a bit loose inside. Nothing to do with the barrel. Although the barrel itself does also feel strange and not like a normal clio should.
Hi all,
When inlocking my clio mk2, the interior lights do not illuminate. They will only work when the key is turned on (to the first setting at least in the barrell)
Any idea why?
Thanks
Im not sure mate. If the barrell was at fault, im not sure that would cause the imob light to flash though?
I have had s many different responses as to what it could be lol.
Ignition switch, crank sensor, earth cable etc etc
Haha its horrific tbh mate. I know its 15 year old, but was wood trim even a thing back then? I thought it was at least 30 years ago style ha ha!
The gear knob is so strange! Its massive! And also reverse is not in the usual clio position, next to 1st? Its as if it is in the space for a 6th...
Yes mate it has the sport wheel with cruise control too lol. Rear electric windows but they aren't working! Need to figure out what it is.
Whats the Cabasse set up? Yes, aftermarket cd player is shocking! I have a tuner list on its way in the post to replace it.
It has a 6 cd changer under the...
I have searched on here and google, taking me to multiple sites and its difficult to find a similar issue and solution.
I bought a mk2 clio dci 100 1.5 a week ago, and it has a strange issue when starting.
I have attached a video but will also tak through what it does and what I have to do, to...
I got home late this afternoon from being at London all week since Monday with work. We have had a load of ice all week and snow yesterday and last night so i was interested to see how the clio would start since it hasnt been started all week. It started straight up with no delay, well other...
Cheers Mazz, its a very unique find and I look forward to getting it in as much of a perfect condition as i can. Please keep your thread updated as its a brilliant read!
Mazz, i have read through this many times now as it is such a fun project to read. I have been on the hunt for a dci for a few months now and managed to pick up an Initiale 100 at the weekend. I hope you dont mind but i may ask you some questions at some point soon when i start working on it.
Haha pretty cool. Im going to get it as immaculate as i can. I bought a machine polisher a couple months go so i will test it out on this.
Yea if you could that would be great cheers. Yes, the greyish colour. Half leather half alcantara. Really compfy tbh
Ha 250k thats good to know!
Yea i knew they existed but always wondered why there was so few of them.
Ah, i need a rear headrest as one is missing lol. Do you have one spare? If not i dont imagine i will find one then if thats the case ha ha.
Mileage is 147k.
Also i noticed the rear brakes are discs and pads, is that...
Nice one mate! I will probably be in touch at some point then. Not had a 100 before so not sure if / what the common issues are. And i will know more on Saturday after the mot.
Are the alloys sought after?
I forgot to mention that above. Its on 147k, with 4 previous owners. The last 2 owners had it one year each, i know that as i have the logbook and can see both their details. So the 2 before that have had it for at least 6-7 years each and im assuming it has been looked after. The negative is...
The interior is filthy! And so is the engine bay but i look forward to giving the whole car a good clean.
I have booked it in for an mot this weekend so will see what comes from that. I will put the spare wheel on until i decide what i want to do with the tyres as its just the one that is bald...
Welcome to the project thread for my dci 100 Initiale...
As a brief background... I had a dci 65 a couple years ago. It was amazing, ran on fresh air and allowed me to keep the miles off my 182. I filled it with petrol one night by mistake and sold it on. I was looking for something bigger and...
