I got my exhaust for £350 new. I think retail was nearer £1k. I think bmw was offloading at big discount. They used to come up used.
Previous owner had injectors and then I had a set.
When there was problems used to idle poor and exhaust tips would blacked with soit but app art from that even...
I went r26 to 330i to e92 m3 back to megane cup s.
I think the 330i and meganes are hard to beat as a balance of running costs and practicality vs performance.
I had a manual facelift e91. Ultra rare. I think they only made 9.
These are great engines and on par with 2 litre turbo for economy, so it's crap that bmw discontinued n.a. 3.0.
I had plenty off stuff replaced under warranty.
Earlier n52 engine also a cracker. My wife had one of these in a...
I have a bundle with SKY but since my baby dont really watch TV much & if I do its on Freeview.
Can I cancel TV with them but keep Phone & Net?
Cant be bothered swapping at the moment?
Yep was getting my hair cut at the time.
I especially notice it as my Wife has a GW 197 Cup on Black Speedlines so I doubletake thinking its her.
Good Luck with the Wedding.
What is that read spoiler you have? Did you do that yourself or did it come out of the factory like that?
I have seen this car 3 times in the last week.
On a private 'CUP' Plate.
Once on the A259 then in Ferring when it pulled up next to my GW Megane and then at Rustington Sainsburies.
I can usually count on one hand how many 197's/200's I see in a month & this one is haunting me.
I had a Clio Trophy which I changed for a R26. My wife had a 182FF then my Trophy for a year. Now with a 197 Cup.
Too be honest I never considered the 197 as I thought it was a step down on performance from the 182. But do not write one off without driving.
Oh and size wise they are pretty...
I use a baby seat in my 182 with the airbag deactivated.
Is there such a switch in 197/200's?
Its on the passenger door of the 182 & requires key to switch off.
My wife works Shifts so she is always driving when the roads are empty.
I used the car for a year before and got 32 mpg with a mix of town driving & fun. She does 25 miles each way on emtpy roads in the dark which keeps the speed down & constant.
Most cars get there best at 60 mph or less...
My Wife has a 182 and gets pretty much 40 mpg out of every tank. She has am A Road Commute on empty roads at 50-60 mph.
What would that drop to on a 197?
You must be able to get reasonable economy out of them with this type of driving. Would you see 35 or 36 mpg.
I know most people see...
There was an Orange Lambo Mucellago 670 there that looked out off this world in the sun at the back of the paddock.
There was also a yellow RUF 911 I liked the look of. Those RUF Porshes are my Lotto win car.
I didn't even see some of the stuff in your photos.
Nice Day.
Me and the Wife ran a Trophy and a 182 with Cup Packs last year.
Trophy was definatly harder ride although some of the poor ride was the shocks that were in need of a refurb. 182 now sold & Trophy still on the drive. With an R26 for company.
To be fair most of the differences you will...
I cant believe how people downrate the value of cars they already own.
We should be saying they are worth more & it might catch on.
I was in the market for an M Coupe a few years back and they were rock solid.
Given the cars reputation, Past & Current Press & a little less supply and the...
Puma's been on my list a few times but have always moved away because of 2 things.
1. Performance - Its got more power than normal 1.7 but no more Torque and is heavier. For a car that can car so much speed through the corners you wont be accelerating at all.
2. Running costs - Looking on...
Last year I ran a Trophy & my wife ran a Black 182 with Cup Packs.
We then sold the 182 as I wanted to keep the Trophy as lower mile & better condition.
I got loads of grief as the suspension IS harder and there is loads of little things that are much nicer on normal 182. Carpets...
I've done a search struggling to find a thread on it.
Had the wheel of the other day and there looks to be two bolts at the bottom of the strut & the one under the bonnet.
I just wondered if there was anything else I needed to look out for or do to make it easier.
Taking my Trophy Front...
How easy is it to remove suspension? Front Shocks?
Do you need any specialist tools?
Is is just a case of removing the lower two bolts & the one under the engine bay?
Most boring looking car I have ever had. Great to drive though. This was back in the era where nobody wanted to do hot hatches. Look at what Ford & Vauxhall were knocking out in 97.
My user name is taken from this period as loads of HDI's that looked the same and run out models with same body...
It depends on whether a Trophy picks up that classic status and a bit of supply & demand I guess. The limited numbers will help. But then the Williams has not held up that well.
I used to have an E30 M3 about 6 years ago and now ALL E36 M3's are worth less than E30's and some E46's. These cars...
Nice cars my wife came from a VRS to a 182.
Still think about going back. All that torque suits her driving style more. Shange up early & surf that torque.
There isn't that much difference in running cost to be fair. Economys a bit better but diesel is more expensive. Her fuel computer was...
I had a burn in mine today the first proper time I opened it up in 2-3 Weeks.
My normal jorney is 3-4 miles into work in stop start diving.
Totay I was taking it to over 6k in 2 & 3rd coming off a few roundabouts.
At the 5.5k Kick the back of my car was engulfed in steam & my rear screen...
