Right after a few initial problems the prossible contraversial mod has been finished. I'm guessing a few people won't like this and no, theres no reason for having one other than novelty and I wanted one :o.
May I present to you, the boost(yo!) gauge.
Now from the outset if I was going to...
Fitted new guide pins iirc? The carriers themselves might be worn and allowing the pin to slop about in them, depends on how the vibration feels tbh. Nothing a good poke about shouldn't be able to find, somethings got to be looser than it should be.
Carriers are/were fine.
Runs to the back of the res and uncovers the float, reasonbly common if the pads are well worn. Should have the brake warning light flicker on with it too.
Electric fault warning light, sounds like its tripped into limp mode too. Is the normal OBD engine management fault light on too? (bottom right of clocks looks like an engine-ish)
You can do its not too far/bad a run actually, they knocked a fair chunk off the ktec/list price too! More than enough to be worth a run from here put it that way. If you do get one and want a hand fitting it give me a shout!
Got it out ready but decided it can be slidey enough in this weather without dressing on the tyres. Knew someone would pick up on it :o.
Glad to be of service, hope you enjoy it!
I makes a difference but its much more less noticable in higher powered cars, the 1.2 showed it quite badly, the 1.6 lesser so, the 172 hardly and the megane isn't really noticable.
Either way I don't give a feck when its hot and humid outside but i'm sat inside with my knackers reascended.
Top of the gearbox at the rear on the diff section of the casing where the driveshafts exit the box, will be sticking out the top towards the rear of the diff.
Do I dare ask what you've done? :o
