I went for a drive tonight, made the noise and as I pressed the brake pedal hard it quietened down, I thought I had it sussed as the old discs rubbing against the pads that arent bedded in yet. But I cant be sure.
Might have to put the old pads back in to rule the belt out I guess.
Right so amongst the small niggles on my car one of which is a very slightly seeping water pump, because in a rush I made the mistake of going non gen for the pump, the bolts might just need nipping up but tbh its being swapped for a gen pump with a new belt at some point.
I'll cut to the...
Calipers look great, as does the car overall :)
Just changed my pads over for Brembo OEM on the fronts and I'm happy with them straight away stopping wise.
I've just done a pad change all round on a jeep grand Cherokee.
Only problem is the rear right caliper piston had a hairline crack in which developed into a full crack of the piston about half way down. As I compressed it in not knowing at the time fluid leaked out.
A replacement caliper has...
Could be low brake fluid, and the cause for that would be brake pads are low. Don't just too up the fluid if it's low check the brake pad material on the front pads.
Top up the fluid first to max and drive it a bit before ruling out your pump definitely needs changing.
I thought mine did and it turned out the noise was else where, you need a special tool to remove a flange and then another to push it back in on the pumps so its not as straight forward for a...
Mayo is common as you've said, short trips not letting the engine warm up enough etc.
Search the code on here, you might find an answer, might be worth clearing the code if you haven't already and seeing if it pops up again, might be an old fault.
Sunroof try cleaning the drain tubes first...
If it helps a common problem when pressing the brake pedal is the rear fog light on the dash illuminates, this is normally because of moisture in the rear light clusters, the fix it to take them apart, and clean them up, spray a bit of WD40 or similar in the clusters. also there are rear earths...
The test I've done before if the CV joint is only clicking round tight corners is go into an empty car park, turn the car full lock left in 2nd gear going in a tight circle, accelerate slowly and see if you can replicate the clicking knocking sound, then do the same right. If you can hear a...
Im fairly sure the xenon water jets work on a one way valve yeah, and whatever it is inside fails over time which makes them leak.
On mine I cut the hoses and installed one way valves, and I replaced one washer jet that was leaking. Haven't had a problem since.
And for them to be activated its...
Install one way valves spliced into the hoses and / or replace faulty washer jets. I think the springs being constantly in water inside the washer jets fail therefore leak.
Yep once the 2 nuts are out you can just slide them out, clean them up with a rag, wack some new slider grease on or whatever else is compatible, slide them back in and pop the rubber covers back over the lip, self explanatory once there in front of you.
Sounds a little bit like the sound I had, it can be the tensioner for the cambelt set the wrong way. Mine was set fine but still ticked and rattled, a new cambelt kit sorted it.
I have the revised section on, much better quality build wise, trouble is my cat sits lower now, might just be mine, have new cat to mani kit on but Im still scraping speed bumps. Anyone else?
Only lowered on sportlines.
