Probably best to undo the wiper arms bolts, remove the plastic scuttle panels and see if any of the bolts holding the whole wiper mechanism in are loose or missing, pics in link:

Yeah im going to try that soon I think, hopefully it works. tried everything else.
After Ive done that if that works I want to do a fresh install of Lion, previously the hard drive came up as locked, if there any way I can get it into a setting ready for an overwrite install?
Thanks.
Yeah it doesnt look straight forward at all, I don't own another mac so im a but stumped for ideas at the moment, Ideally I need to get the files off before I overwrite them.
If I remove the back panel and remove the hard drive and then plug it into my pc as an external it should be read fine ?
If I turn the mac into "target disc mode" like above, is it possible that I connect the mac to my pc ? so I can find the files on it and back them up ?
I have a firewire port on my pc case but im not too sure if its connected up inside.
Thanks tried that, only difference is I was asked what language to use when going back into utilities, hard drive still seems to disappear when im trying to create an image.
Anything else I can try?
As in boot up holding "T" ? it loads up with the two icons floating around the screen but I cant do anything else, I don't have another mac to connect to im afraid.
Hoping those who are more familiar with OS X can help me, I have a friends MacBook Pro which was running fine until updates where installed and somehow now it will not boot, it hangs with the apple logo and the loading logo.
Ive tried everything with my limited know how, it wont boot into safe...
Ive got a blue cheap silverline polisher with a fair few pads and some menzerna / megs polishes, im no pro by far but Im slowly getting better at polishing and a bit of wet sanding here and there.
Yeah I will try and come to one at some point.
Nice work Alex, nice to see the pics.
Clutch looks fairly decent like you say, still the new one is another future proofing.
Looking forward to having it back with the new parts, just hoping this gearbox is as good as it was sold to me as. Fingers crossed !
Oh and I don't remember removing the rear arch liners on mine I think I just pushed the ratchet through to the bolts, you'l see when your doing it its straight forward.
Well unless your already having problems its not a necessity, its just another part that whilst your doing that job you could replace to future proof it going wrong.
If you dont replace the stat Its recommended you get a new rubber gasket seal as obviously these perish over time and also you...
My front speakers are staring to crackle one side, I've sourced some half decent Pioneer ones off ebay new for cheap.
And they come with tweeters so I'm interested in fitting them.
These do not come with any crossover boxes so I just want to check if I can straight swap them?
I just want to...
Take off the exhaust heatshield under the handbrake (under the car) then you should see the adjuster, check this is straight and not pulled to one side, also will allow you to pull on the cable and see if its snapped one side.
Is it a campus? my mate had one with no rear speakers, or any wires, just the holes.
I had to follow the rear loom wire down to a connection plug then cut the loom one side where the wires where and run wire to each speaker hole.
This guide has info...
As I understand it, if you have air in the ABS system its very hard to get it out via normal bleeding yourself, but in a garage they can use there clip machine to have the ABS system open or operating whilst they bleed it to get the air out.
I read before it might work by getting the ABS to...
How did you bleed them? 2 man method? i.e. one with a foot on the pedal and one opening the brake nipple, or a pressurised system?
This will help other people with replies. Did you notice at anytime a mistake i.e. air getting sucked into the system whilst the caliper nipple was open?
