Re: 172 Cup track toy! Anything over 260 and I'll be happy. Don't want to squeeze every last horsey as it will be used on track and so don't want to be fixing it all the time. I'll also see how this new inlet manifold works out over the winter.

Re: 172 Cup track toy! Oil and filter changed ready for mapping tomorrow! Also made a bracket to hold the OE ecu on top of the top gearbox mount to get rid of the cable ties. :p

The turbo will spool up but not produce boost so it depends on what kind of turbo noise you are expecting.

There will be no boost as there is no resistance when revving the engine. You need the engine to be under load so on the road or a rolling road.

What size is the throttle body Andy?

Excellent power mate, you must be well happy. What turbo are you running and are you still on the std megane turbo and injectors?

Sump plug idea is a no go for this reason. Got another idea which I'm working on just now. Might work out but we'll see.

Re: 172 Cup track toy! There was a HQ Garage night on the 4th that I was aiming to have the car ready for but wanted to hold off until I knew I could make it. But sods law, it's sold out now. Next trackscotland night is on the 30th of august so I'll be booking on that one. Might see if there...

I looked at them but as Phil says they don't come on the thermostatic one which makes sense as they would only work when up to temp. Think the sump idea is what is going to happen and then try and take another feed off the OE pressure sensor that will also accommodate my turbo oil feed.

Re: 172 Cup track toy! Trackscotland or the SIDC days are the best ones I've found. Really good level of driving. I've tended to avoid the hot hatch days to be honest.

I've already got a tee off the pressure sensor location for the turbo oil feed. Also, not too sure about the temp sensor in place of the sump plug.

Re: 172 Cup track toy! I bought it from McGill Motorsport. It wasn't that expensive, think it was £30. The 16" one is £50. Seen them on Demon Tweeks for more like £150 but not sure if they are worth it.
