    2118's and coilovers

Speed line sell then for £477 so that's abouts as good as you'll get and demon tweeks sell kw v2's for around £1k. I have both and they're ideal for the track.

    172 Cup Turbo

You won't get a siphon effect as you will have an air gap at the top of your header tank so this will not work.
  9. Cupman29

    172 Cup Turbo

It's an expansion loop so only takes the expansion in the system back to the header tank when it gets hot.
  10. Cupman29

    172 Cup Turbo

You have connected the turbo feed into the expansion loop to the header tank. This will not have enough flow to cool the turbo IMO. Just take a feed from the heater matrix pipes.

Re: 172 Cup track toy! There is life! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHFU0g-Rerg&feature=youtu.be Scoff had a few problems with oil leaking from the turbo into the exhaust causing lots of smoke on the initial start up but that seems to have gone now. I'm getting the train down to his in the...

    172 Cup Turbo

Yes, you will need a flexible joint in the link pipe between your down pipe and your current exhaust.

    172 Cup Turbo

Relocate the battery and lie the ecu flat. Gives way more space for turbo inlet and filter. Looking good though.

    VAG Gearbox Conversion

What's the weight difference between a standard JC5 box and the O2M VAG box? Very tempted by this if I start Kuching boxes too.

    172 decat fitting

I jammed a piece of wood about 150mm long against the manifold and a bolt on the engine side and used a flexible extension a ratchet and found it straight forward eventually.

    172 decat fitting

Very awkward but can be done yourself but is easier with two people. You need to grip the nut and turn the bolt to tighten.

How do I split the rear spindle from the calipers carrier?

I think the stub shaft is only pressed into the carrier so once the 4 holding bolts have been removed to free it from the hub, it should press out.

    Doorcards. What to use?

Carbon fibre is strong, light and robust. Abs is flexible, light and robust which makes both good for this purpose. MDPE is another plastic that would be good but it is slightly heavier. I said acrylic would not be good. :S

    Doorcards. What to use?

How do I split the rear spindle from the calipers carrier?

The caliper is bolted to the hub. Are you talking about swapping the stub axle only?
