Re: 172 Cup track toy! Car is going to get Scoffed tomorrow at EFI Parts so wanted to make sure everything was spot on so had a couple of jobs to do. Doorcards. What to use?

Acrylic would break if you shut the door too hard and if you were in a side impact would shatter and possibly create sharp flying objects which would not be good.

    Doorcards. What to use?

If you don't want to go carbon than abs plastic is next on my list. Very cheap, reasonably robust and comes in variety of colours. I would have something as if you were in a crash the door could be very dangerous to your limbs.

    What Fluid?!?

    The Confused Track Clio MK1, MK2 & MK3 Content (01-Sep-12 DEADLINE)

Re: The Confused Budget Track Clio! * Inc 197 Cup Cage Content* You do like to punish yourself. Take it to a machine shop and they will water or laser jet cut the perfect shape for you in jig time. Spending time on jobs like that only slow the build down and are never as good anyway. Fair play...

    Fitting forge coolant silicone hoses

Not too difficult. Drain coolant, take off old and fit new, fill coolant. You may need to remove bits and pieces to help with access but nothing major.

    Best track/fast road pad?

Pagid blues for me. Used them for 6 track days now and there is still another 4 left in them. They dont fade and are good from cold. Well worth the money in my opinion.

I'll get the drawing to you tomorrow. PM me your email address and let me know if you want it on AutoCAD or a PDF? I have a slider kit that I was using on my seat originally but wanted the seat lower and never moved the seat position anyway so removed it. I'll get you a pic if you want to buy it?

    Dropping and fitting a JC5 gearbox - 172 Cup

Engine out means dropping coolant and psf every time. I've only done it with the engine out but think I might try the subframe option next time.

    Modifications to accompany turbo conversion

Injectors, plugs, HT leads, fpr, fuel pump and gauges. Dci box is wrong IMHO. All that extra performance and then ruin it with long gearing and it's no stronger :S
