Re: 172 Cup track toy!
Car is going to get Scoffed tomorrow at EFI Parts so wanted to make sure everything was spot on so had a couple of jobs to do. Checked all fluids again and had to remove the bumper to pull my tow strap through as i forgot when putting it on last time, oops! Also did a nut...
Acrylic would break if you shut the door too hard and if you were in a side impact would shatter and possibly create sharp flying objects which would not be good.
If you don't want to go carbon than abs plastic is next on my list. Very cheap, reasonably robust and comes in variety of colours.
I would have something as if you were in a crash the door could be very dangerous to your limbs.

I'm going down to get mine mapped by Chris at the weekend from Glasgow so you'd be closer than me I expect. Lol
Re: The Confused Budget Track Clio! * Inc 197 Cup Cage Content*
You do like to punish yourself. Take it to a machine shop and they will water or laser jet cut the perfect shape for you in jig time. Spending time on jobs like that only slow the build down and are never as good anyway.
Fair play...
Not too difficult. Drain coolant, take off old and fit new, fill coolant.
You may need to remove bits and pieces to help with access but nothing major.
Pagid blues for me. Used them for 6 track days now and there is still another 4 left in them. They dont fade and are good from cold. Well worth the money in my opinion.
I'll get the drawing to you tomorrow. PM me your email address and let me know if you want it on AutoCAD or a PDF?
I have a slider kit that I was using on my seat originally but wanted the seat lower and never moved the seat position anyway so removed it. I'll get you a pic if you want to buy it?
Injectors, plugs, HT leads, fpr, fuel pump and gauges.
Dci box is wrong IMHO. All that extra performance and then ruin it with long gearing and it's no stronger :S
Re: 172 Cup track toy!
You bet! It's been so long since I've driven it and can't wait to see how it drives with about 100hp more.
Still got the type r?
Re: 172 Cup track toy!
Small Update:
Got some NGK PFR7G-9 plugs fitted yesterday and then put on the Magnecore leads. If anything, they look good but I'm sure they will be better than the standard 7mm leads!
Car is now booked in with Scoff at EFI Parts to do the engine wiring and...
I'm working on a conversion kit for subaru 4 pots for the Clio as I would like 4 pots too and I've got a few spare sets of these that I can use.
Kw V2's are good but not tried the others.
Re: Boosted BlackGold Project - F4rT content.
Scoff at EFI Parts is a top bloke and has given me loads of advise on my setup. I'm booked in on the 7th Of July for wiring and mapping and can't wait. He really rates the adaptronic stuff and as Rob says, he's used it to get unbelievable power out...
