I'll have a shop about mate thanks, how much did you get or use to cover the boot?.
It already has a centre section in the exhaust mate its the ktec stealth system @optical
Thanks for the link mate.
Did you put it under the floor mat mate onto the bare metal then original floor mat on top??.dont suppose you have any photos? @optical
I can see what your saying but i want to keep the stealth look,so think i will cut the angle of the tailpipe to aim the gases outwards rather than downwards & bouncing back up under the car to cause the drone noise on motorways.Hopefully this will help a bit with a thick rubber matt on the boot...
Im not to worried about the rattles as its pretty ok for that.
Just want to reduce the drone exhaust on motorways etc,i did think of using a thick Rubber matting to,to maybe use and have that under the boot floor and rear seats.
Anyone used Sound Barrier Material in the boot or anywhere to reduce the drone booming exhaust sound at 70/80mph?
This stuff..

I don't really want to spend any money as i like the exhaust and theses nothing wrong with it apart from the motorway drone noise at 80,but im going to cut the tailpipe at an angle so its not directed at the floor as this is way it drones because the sound bounces back up under the car rather...
Sounds good mate, ive got the quieter system so already have the centre box,but will defo cut the rear tailpipe to 45 degrees and maybe take 1cm off the length
Oh ok mate.i see you mean now.Yeah that does look good, but i might try @bloke idea and just cut the tailpipe a bit more so it aims more out of the back and see how that is as i would ideally like to keep it looking stealth.
It already has the centre section in mate, but will look into just cutting the tailpipe a bit more as ideally would like to keep the stealth look.Is this what you have done?
At the moment I have the Ktec Stealth system on my cup and as you all know you get that booming drone on motorways etc doing about 80 and this is caused by the sound bouncing back up under the car.
So im thinking of cutting the rear bumper to fit an exhaust trim and then cutting off the tailpipe...
