well they made me take it today anyway! they said if there was anything wrong with it i could take it to renault and get them to fix it, even if they didnt say that, i would have just taken the car and sued their asses ;)
aye i'll get some proper pics when i get some time and the weather isnt shitey lol.
As i said bumpers not too bad but i'm a stickler for detail, and i can see the lug and i shouldnt be able too and since i'm not paying for the repair mayaswell have it done, much better than it was the first...
^ lol as said absolutly no nasty ph2 bits for me ;)
bumpers still slightly misfitted (not obvious on that pic but you can see the lug), not tracked, oil leak, and a chipped alloy. But apparently they're gonna sort it so i'll wait and see lol
^ you know me, perfectionist through and through ;)
combine no ph2 stuff for me, purely because thats not what it is, and with it being rare dont wanna molest it too much lol. Got some ph2 lights sitting in the garage but still undecided tbh
Plans are, in the next couple of months...
yep indeed, a lad off here has a v6 in the same bodyshop, he was told he'd get it back this week, when i was there half of it was missing, so they're bound to spin him some bullshit too. Luckily i've told him everything ;)
Yes after almost 100 days of waiting for the repair shop to get their finger out of their arse i finally got my car back. Still not perfect as the bumper still isnt spot on, but admiral are paying for me to get it fixed properly at renault. Also they didnt track it, so the vibration in the car...
240 is normally good enough to remove all the crap, and then a 400/600 just to smooth off any scratches that may have appeared, altho generally the 2.0 16v badges dont tend to scratch unless you use 120.
then when you've primed it, something like 1200 is good to remove any bumps before...
you need to sand them down properly to get all the silver off (or it tends to react) PLASTIC primer, sand that down so smooth then colour and then lettering then laquer
if i was you i'd repaint the silver lettering back in. I've tried masking and knifing the letters off but it leaves a harsh edge, and the masking (when i did it) left an uneven edge. This could lead to the paint chipping off in cold weather etc. so wouldnt risk it. Just get a touch up bottle...
it was to do with my s**t green billabong seats and the fact they kept staining white lol.
hodgey, your free to come along mate and help me have a good gander round the car! i'd appreciate the company lol. will text you anyway, but wont be till the afternoon.
Im personally collecting it on tuesday. If its still not done and fixed to a excellent standard i'm going to call the police and do them for stealing my car! If they offer me a penny less than what i calculated i should be getting for compensation, i shall be sueing them straight away. Already...
Looking good mate, i just wish you would have bought it off me in the first place instead of cliosport, as it would have been just as you wanted it, with the exhaust, turinis, and you would have paid considerably less ;)
If i was you, i'd get the smooth black badges back on it, and the smoked...
bloody pic *****, even posting pics of your decat now ;)
I was considering a yozza decat to go with my yozza system but i wanna see how loud it is without first lol
