You can get to the boot button by removing the trim from your boot, which i think is just one torx screw and a load of clips that will pop out if you pull hard enough. Then you take the boot locking mechanism out by undoing 3 bolts (which I think are a size 10 socket off the top of my head)...
Thanks, I owe you one! I'm also selling a 172 interior, some ph2 rear lights, side strips and a spoiler if you want to sell them for me too ;)
Ha that is a bit weird, good luck finding a grill now you know what you're looking for :)
Ah fair enough. For the record I didn't put the stickers on, was like that when I got it.
It'd make a lot more sense for you to have it since you're in Bristol and he's in Birmingham. Pm me
Not sure how you knew I was on here (top stalking there!) but I am and that is my item.
It will fit OP's car and I'll do it for less than £40 Hampton07 I just did a quick search and found them to be £65.74 here: http://renaultpartsdirect.co.uk/products/Renault-Clio-172-Grille-(Front).html
Car looks fantastic and judging by the spec it sounds like a great buy! If I were you I'd spray the upper grill in black as it looks quite grey and faded, it's something I've done on my car and I think it really freshens up the front. Also I'd get a recess cut into the bumper for the exhaust and...
They were some used coilovers, I didn't even know the brand but they were about £100 so couldn't grumble. They were fine for what I wanted (lows) but gave a ridiculously bumpy ride
ol12 Pretty sure I sold you those wheels mate, weird coincidence that we had the same coloured cars! Get it lowered, looks loads better...
Get a project thread up for your car :)
I'm currently using pirelli pzero (nero's I believe), best tyres I've ever had, great in dry and wet alike. Had absolutely no drama with them, which I can't say about any other tyres I've had.
Does anyone have any experience with Nankang NS-2s? I'm needing some 205/45/16s and they're really...
These are definitely growing on me. I think this is the best non-sport I've seen so far, the wheels suit the car and colour, I think it works quite well. Looking forward to seeing how these look after people have modded them a bit.
The car had been sat on the drive for a couple of months, waiting to sell. I went to start it up to take it for an MOT and it wouldn't start. I assumed the battery had lost its charge or just gone so I replaced it with a new one. Trialled starting it up and it started fine.
A few days later I...
Exactly right. That's a picture of the car when I bought it, the seller told me the bullets had been stolen (god knows why). It does have dci bullets on now.
Not sure what wheels they are, just spotted them on ebay for fairly cheap. I liked the colour so thought they might be worth a look, not in the best condition though. Thanks for the photoshop attempts
as in title. Could someone please photoshop these wheels:
Onto this car:
The car picture isn't ideal but it's the best one I have at the moment and car is filthy now.
Any attempts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
EDIT: Could someone also lower the car slightly, so that the arches sit...
The car will likely look comical with the 172 kit, no lows, spacers, or alloys. So I'd try to do those things all at the same time if possible. Or at least coilovers, wheels and spacers first.
Plans sound good and I like the mods apart from the lights, front and back. Pretty much everyone on here will advise you to return the rear lights to standard and the front lights either to standard or upgrade to xenons.
Other than that I'd just suggest coilovers/lowering springs and you'll...
Just looked it up and seems like a good shout given how close it is. Is there normally a good turn out from cs members?
I now aim to get the car how I want it by FCS.
List of things to do by then, excluding things that need to be done (clutch, service etc.) are:
Coilovers (looking at FK...
Thanks Lawro. Any meets I shouldn't miss this year? I'm yet to go to a meet in the Bristol area (originally from North Wales), but would like to go to some once I've got the car looking the way I want it.
Well I was hoping to have had a great deal more done by now. But with the car needing a new clutch, aux belt and a service, the mods have had to go on the back-burner for the time being.
However I did manage to source some bullets and got some pictures of the interior changes.
Sprayed the...
Anyone have any experience with FK Highsports? I've noticed they're pretty cheap and seem like them might be a good buy at £350.
Are they worth getting though?
Nice upgrade! Always had a soft spot for infernos. Your plans sound good too, just keep it clean and maybe refresh a few bits, such as sorting out the headlights and a skoda splitter (mentioned above), but also maybe paint the upper grill black because it's looking a bit faded and grey at the...
I'm really no source of knowledge on the subject to be honest. When I bought my dci it had already been remapped, but i believe it'd be in the region of £200-£300 (don't quote me on that). However you wouldn't get much gains from a 1.2 petrol, I really don't think it'd be worth it.
Fair...
Strange comment since there haven't been any mods that would be controversial from what i can see.
OP seems to have the right idea, I'm personally not a fan of the red drums; I think they'd look far better in black because why would you want to advertise the fact you have drums? But apart from...
