Did you check that they had the tools and have done the job before? Also how much did they quote if you don't mind saying?
Mines in on Monday at Mark Lightfoot's in Ilkeston. £450+VAT, all genuine Renault parts too.
TBH if you're in sMacc I'm surprised you've not heard of Kanon or his company mate. Go down and see him can't hurt to get a quote, but be warned he is going over to the States to work from 23rd March till 10 April and then he's down at ISTS for the weekend.
Christopher - what was the name of...
Just spoke to him now. Said it's best if you ring him as you know what you're after. His numbers changed but the websites not been updated yet. It's now 07500414820 if you tell him Sy, not his brother, sent you he should hook you up.
Yeah one of my mates owns the place lol.
Unbiased reply though is that Kanon, the owner, is a perfectionist. He has had a lot of cover cars go through his 'shop and does a lot of work for the Fastcar staff, Ph-reebone should be able to get you some reviews from people there, on their own cars...
Errrm hard evidence... Mines a standard 2000 Titanium and has one? :clown:
Only thing I can think of would be to ring Renault HQ and ask them for advice.
What is it that you're after having done and where abouts in Notts are you? I've not used MGC but I'm sure I remember reading a good review about them on here, I'd say search but you've no chance with it being three letters.
Re: The PH1 172 Aprreciation Thread.
Oooh a chance to picture wh0re? I'm game.
Excuse the exhaust...should of been gone a month ago but other stupid bills have and still are getting in the way. :(
Apart from that though totally standard, although a fair few things planned. But because...
Is the cam tool the "pins", the pulley the metal plate thing and the crack tool the horse shoe? (All technical terms obviously).
Also why the hell are you lot up at those sort of hours and posting? PMSL
Morning,
Firstly apologies for having to make this thread. I hate threads like this as I know it's been asked and answered loads of times but with "oil" being three letters the search on here is once again a waste of time.
Anyway it's for a 2000 Ph1 172. I'm pretty sure, correct...
Is it actually worth bothering with adjusting the camber on a -30mm "fast" road car with some occasional track use? I only ask because I've just read in PFC where KTEC are saying it is, although it doesn't mention following what sort of suspension drop. I'm assuming that its more so to combat...
Anyone know if this is the tool required?
