This is a pot luck sort of question lol, below is a pic of a DCi lump, and it aint looking pretty, i dont know if oil is coming from the cambelt area or from somewhere else and getting 'flung' about, what seals etc are known to leak cambelt side so i can investigate as its a pretty good lump...

as per title really, are they are the same as I cant imagine Renault making loads of different doors, doorcards etc ? i'm breaking a car on ebay and the guy wants to ensure he buys a door from a 5 door car ? or am I just being stupid? thanks Adam

another thought the donor car has electric mirrors and the van doesn't :( will these differences mean my plan wont work? cheers Adam

The kick plates on the car aint the proper ones either are they, look like stickers, genuine renault but not right lol

Only thing is, my van got fog lights? Both poverty spec really, And the car hasnt, but has the switch on the stalk, but im not worried if they dont work i dont use them anyway just had a though tho, my van came without a radio display screen on the dashtop, but this car has? Will this **** it...

Yeah ive got the ECU and UCH free, engines ready to come out, just a case of swapping the blades in the key,refit and im good to go? thanks for the help really is appreciated

Cheer guys so by swapping the ecu into the van with replacement lump (complete with its current injectors) wouldnt be enough to get injectors working? going to start getting the engine out in a bit lol

Thanks for the reply :) if im honest i think the injectors in the donor are in a better working order, as in its last days the van developed a bit of an 'engine knock' would i be able to use the donor injectors if i swap ecu or am i being awkward lol ​cheers

Hi guys, sadly the lump in my dci van has died, after trying to resolve a cooling issue, i think the head gasket has gone, Was driving at around 70 on the dual carriageway from work and it spluttered, cut out so i bumped it as i was driving, then it started pouring out white smoke out the back...

Theyve gone up a bit again in the last few months, vary a lot in price £6-£10k+ mileage etc as with all cars but usually 60k miles ones are about 7.5k to £8.5k in good nick This set me back £8k with 62k in the spec i wanted, buy on conditoon and not miles as theyre pretty much bomb proof

The paint on the focus has bugged me since i bought it (few days before christmas just gone) car has been looked after mechanically but looks like its seen some car washes and what i think may be wash brush marks :( so with the weather breaking and show season coming up i best get cracking...

Right bit of an update i bought a new cap from renault and still the coolant comes out through the cap :( so its pressurising a lot lol starting to think its the head gasket thats gone, i have a spare dci lump in the car im breaking, i think its just the turbo gone on that lump, so tempted...

Im so fed up of mine lately lol when its going, its like a dream but lately this cooling issue has wound me right up! im gonna try the PTFE tape just to see before i buy a new tank and cap tbanks again ​ill report back

Yeah like its boiling over up through the cap lol its hissing and steaming from there, ive swapped ot with one off the car im breaking and its still doing it the level is between min and max at the moment

Right a bit of an update, i noticed a leak from cambelt side of the engine, so its had a new waterpump and cambelt, a new stat, all flushed out and filled with new anti freeze i drove down the road home, and water was coming through the cap on the expansion tank theres nothing else it can be...

Yep :) plans are mani, 3" turbo back pipe, new actuator,and a sabre live remap, should see 300+ :)

looks a cracker mate :) im starting to get used of the standard power so looking to mod mine soon
