generally pretty bad. There are some nice people from here on there.
But on the other hand there are also some of the biggest bell ends you will ever come across and you're taxes are paying for them to be really nice people.
No one, I just wanted and excuse to use that ;)
LED upgrade from ebay. Cheap and look okay but the light output is poor in comparison to the halogen.
You can put an HID kit on fogs, 4300k would match your headlights.
It was working fine and now what ever the weather, coolant/interior/exterior temp. I press auto and it just sits on 1 bar fan.
Everything else is working fine and the windscreen demist is still a hurricane.
So much sound deadening being on the motorway would be like being in here
Cruise control that didn't have a mind of it's own.
More mpg, 60 isn't good enough
I'm not a mechanic and never have been but the hunter I watched someone use once was a great piece of kit. The cheapy ones some garages use have never had such good results. I wouldn't touch anything that wasn't full 4 wheel alignment as I've seen a fair few clios with just slightly off rear...
MG cup
I do mine in the garage and have been known to do it just on the road.
If in the garage I put wood under each wheel until the car is as level as possible. My garage floor isn't flat. That gives me enough room to lay on my back and turn the rod.
2mm is more than 20 minutes depending on...
I used the spare thank god (I hadn't noticed that) and I'm not taking it out of the sandwich bag to check! Probably picked his ear with it. I am churning
Just drove it home. The smell has given me a belly ache!
Reading through the SH it's had 2 new injectors only 20k ago, has a fair amount of SH and regular full filter changes with it so I'm happy.
Of course I can't get more pics now but here's one of the key I thought people would like.
AlexW...
He was happy to get in that every day! shocking.
Exterior isn't that bad. Front bumper is held on with cable ties but I'm sure that's standard, has been on all my clios.
Just needs a new rear cluster
Entirely agree. It will never come up nice but I'm going to have to give it my best shot as money is tight as I've just paid for a heap of other 1 off things. Will probably do a new carpet and seats when I sell it on though unless a really cheap one near me comes up which they never do!
I could...
Just to tie this up. After a dream about a schematic diagram of the headlight I managed to sort it out today. I cut a square around the adjuster on the old headlight and got the clip off.
You can then remove the slider part and with little fingers and some fiddling get it placed in the groves...
Only went up last night and was in the budget so was a no brainer.
Not sure if my sister would approve of driving a stripped out Clio! None the less it will be so it can dry out for a while :P
it is you're right Chip. I set up straight and go from there.
Forgot what I was doing once and put 3 degrees of toe in on my golf. Wasn't bad round the track but went through a set of front tyres in 800 miles. I only realised what I'd done when I had got to my campsite in Switzerland so had to...
Acting on the advice. I've bought a litre of valet pro apc as it was cheap.
Will rip the rest out and see what I can do with it for an hour or so a night in the next week.
I paid £300 for it which I'll probably get slated for but mechanically it's sound. Runs well, good tyres and brakes, very very local and a DCI. Petrol wasn't an option because of tax costs.
I'm going to try and save the carpet as all in I want to be less than £450. Going to do the cambelt...
I've strung every car I've every owned. Could do a guide on it if people want. Gives fantastically accurate results and allows for home toe in/out adjustments.
This is generally how I measure it up. Make sure measurement from the hub is even before starting. Measure from front and back of lip...
deadmau5 pig I think, they left their ear tags in the door
It's even worse in the flesh
Any thoughts on using a vegetable brush for the textured material?
I'm defo going to have to take the seats out. I'll get some more pics tomorrow morning when it's back here.
I've just bought this. It's got a sunroof leak, puddle in every foot well, mould and been owned by someone on a farm. It stinks and I got aids from it earlier.
Plan to take out the interior, pressure wash the carpets.
What would you recommend for everything else? I have absolutely no spare...
Got 1 spare headlight I can tear to pieces. Got 1 broken adjuster in the xenon.
Not sure how to take the other one apart without breaking the bits. I know the 45 degree cog on the back is pressed on to the adjuster shaft but what kind of tool to you use to take that off and put it back on.
Cheers
It's probably easiest to replace the whole unit from a breaking car but try it from another one if you can first.
I just tried to take out the sensor part and the plastic is obviously so brittle I wouldn't bother.
