Word of warning - OE05 GGU

182_bean When you said "blew up" that's just a generic term for anything from a leaky radiator to a conrod exiting the side of the block. More details needed. What happened, how; what it's like now etc. Just drop another engine in it though if it's completely shat it's pants on the road.

Re: DCI 65 pov spec commuter OEM+ Clearly the 172 alloys don't have tyres on but today I put on on for the sake of getting the right lighting for PS. Still think they're pretty huge for the car. Definitely have a little more poke (7mm) precisely from the rim and sit 17mm closer to the strut...

agree with the above comments. Fitted on my old car for just general braking upgrade. Fitted on the rear of my DCI for ease.

    AlexW's Driveway Antics :)

I want to set mine up like they do on the 80. It's the same rad and pipes as the non a/c 65. On the A/C rad combo the pipes go in top right and bottom left but it's both on the left for the other ones. Find my self some rad pipes and an a/c condenser and I'm set.

Re: DCI 65 pov spec commuter OEM+ Ohh I hope it's not too bad with the tank. Bit of a pain on the clio. As Alex said we're looking to make this as cheap as possible. All in on this for less than £500 or so. Once I'm all prepped with the parts would be great to have a hand mate. Yesterday...

That black DCI looks a steal nice! the HP we should have bought. Assume you've looked at the rad/intercooler/ac rad set up and drooled.

Heaters not working and Engine temp gauge

Could be two faults together. If the fans don't work that could be the resistor pack in the climate control. Also sounds like the thermostat. If you leave the car running for twenty minutes or so on idle does it warm up? The stat sounds like its jammed open so the coolant is circulating the...

Re: DCI 65 pov spec commuter OEM+ Thanks both. Glad the engine should be okay. Tank is about £50 Totting up it'll get a cambelt at £45, diesel pump £80 (£20 if this bargain comes through), used injectors £130 or so, fuel filter £15 and tank £50. about £320. How would you suggest doing the...

    Cruise Control/Squib Problem

Sorry for late reply, kept forgetting! In the back of this steering wheel you should be able to see where the airbag clips into the steering wheel. This is on my car but it works in the same way. The metal bar bit needs pushing towards the outside of the wheel. I use a screwdriver.

    problem?

Town driving is never good for mpg, I'd expect 25mpg. I used to get 31 on my commute which was some 60 mph roads, bit of town and some 30 limits over 12 miles. If you want more MPG you can adapt your driving style considerably for when you aren't giving it beans. Accelerate slowly, anticipate...

Re: DCI 65 pov spec commuter OEM+ ohh yeah I'm expecting it to be fubar when I open it up. When we tried to start it, before finding out about the petrol, it coughed pretty bad. Other than pump/ injectors and flushing the hell out of everything else what other damage could I expect. Apparently...

    Rear abs cables help

sburrell93 photo of the plug. Hopefully you get an idea of where the location is. That bush is the left inner ARB bush.
