Crucify me if this is the wrong section but this forum is full of knowledge.
Currently looking at one of my familys fiat 500. It has a horrible loud wuring noise whilst driving. It's not rev related and the noise gets louder the faster you go.
Here's a little video. I've checked and can't see...
At least you have a good start with maintenance done recently. I didn't mean the spark plugs being faulty but more the colouration of the tips.

I personally would check other things before the fuel pump. There would be...
I would want to know what needed repairing. They means it needed about £600 spending on it at some point using genuine parts. As we all know, with a renault that wouldn't be hard. It could also be due to the side skirts, most insurance body shops wouldn't want to touch an aftermarket bodykit and...
Hi Ollie
I would check the plugs first to see if there is any unusual colouration.
Fuel filter can be changed however I believe it's only every 120k or so and honestly I doubt it would do anything.
You could give the TB a wipe with carb cleaner.
Report back once you've done those bits :)
Mine also does that. I don't see a reason why tracking would need doing if you just used your old track rods.
If you can turn a spanner this isn't the worst job. It just consumes a little time :)
Please come and take my old rack. It's so lonely.
Can't remember if it was your thread or not...
Lambda, coilpack, HT leads, injector, inlet sensors are all things people consider. Use the search buddy. Lots on the topic of misfire
Get it plugged in asap though
I have no idea what the problem is but it may help people if you list the specific lights which come up (or take a photo) as it's usually a combination of lights.
Reignition
I couldn't say exactly as the two times I've done it's been in combination with A/C delete. For value for money it's not the best, agreed, I've never paid for it though but have experience the change twice.
The car does rev much freeier and the top end doesn't tail like it used to...
This will need doing shortly on Claude.
Heard they have a free spinning crank (or something). What does this mean to me when changing the belt. I know all the plastic guards need removing, aux belt etc.
Anyone done one of these and know a rough method and how long it would take.
Also what...
That
You'd be going slower by spinning up.
Get the fault codes checked. Could be an abs sensor, misaligned steering angle sensor. Do all the lights come on briefly when you turn the ignition on?
To end the thread. Having taken the spoiler off it was the brake light that was full of water. New one ordered. Cup spoiler on until the new one arrives!
Thanks Mic, is that the price of the spoiler with brake light or just the brake light? I agree it's 100% not cricket but can't afford the time for a fail currently.
The DCI's middle brake light isn't lighting up when the peddle is pressed. The other 2 in the clusters are fine.
Would this fail and MOT as it's coming up next week and I'm snowed under.
First try unplugging the sensors on the inlet manifold 1 by one and running the car. This will make the car run on a preset signal in the ecu and should the sensor be faulty, run well.
If it's not this I would then try the injectors. Unplugging 1 by 1 and then should each make a large...
Drain the coolant via the bottom rad hose. You'll only get half of everything that falls out I'd imagine.
The bolts are e8 inverted torx head.
I don't have your aux set up so can't comment on getting the other crapola out of the way.
There is a bit of cambelt casing you'll also need loosen to...
Thanks Paprika
I'd love to know specifically what they would be testing if the car is extensively modified. I don't want to have to refit stuff. There are loads of people with stripped road legal track cars on here.
Thankfully I've managed to save enough to keep the 182 whilst I go to uni.
I'll be starting to strip the car this week to make it race car and want to be as extreme as possible with no cost involvement at this point. I'm swayed to be slightly cautious though as the car might still need to pass...
Saw a fair number of clios but no photos I'm affraid
a 1.2 covered is CSS stickers up the windscreen.
non sport with HIDs
2 x 172 cups
1 LY 182 FF
1 silver 182 standard
1 LY ph2 V6
1 black track spec 182 with bimarcos in on oz f1's
1 monaco on 2118's
I think that's it. My 182 was filthy
Manufacture paint time and materials has a repair on the roof at about £350 inc paint and time to fill the damage, 2 hours.
My garage door fell on my 182 ages ago so I estimated it on £30 an hour labour rate, didn't get it done though as the car's worth diddly squat.
My EPAS seems to be exactly the same as Phils (both using the same rack part number)
I have no problem with centring and the assistance can be dialed from stupidly light to very heavy. In my review I put which settings I use for track, nearly off but not quite.
I run this bracket as well. Doesn't give much adjustability. Parts are a touch over £100 from renault. Believe I listed the part numbers earlier in the thread. I used the belt 5pk830 from memory.
