yep, tried to force install firmware and it just fails. Apple said "the hardware fault will always have been there, when you restore it, it won't let it reinstall due to the hardware issue". Poor/fake excuse in my opinion.

Yes I understand most will be matched..... What about the tracks which won't match? surely Apple don't have access to all record labels collections. Therefore users will upload tracks which haven't matched Apples database, what if those tracks break copyright laws?

I wonder what the laws are about users pirated music getting uploaded to Apples iCloud database. In theory Apple now have copies of millions of pirated songs stored on their servers.

My girlfriend has a 2nd gen ipod touch which is having some problems with the Wi-Fi. If i took it into an Apple store would they have to send it away for repair or do they have older ipod itouch models to give as replacements? Regards Carl
