Ever since i've owned my valver it has a strange problem where the gear stick moves backwards and forwards a lot, more than any other car i've been in. If i'm in first gear and i'm rolling, if i take my foot off the accelerator the gear stick violently moves forwards, and if i tap the...
I had this problem with my old valver a while back. It was due to a weak Earth connection.
I was getting power to everything in the car but when i tried to start it, it just clicked once and didn't do much else..
I think as you jump start it with jump leads you are providing it with a good...
I see. Thanks for the advice.
It's going back to the garage either tomorrow or friday so i'll mention it to him then and see what he thinks it is. Hopefully it'll be something simple as it's really annoying me at the moment. Pulling off on a hill is a bit of a nightmare as it slips quite a...
Are you sure that it was the cable that made the clutch stiff before? I thought an uprated clutch would have been stiffer and had more pressure etc? I don't really know a great deal about clutches.
The thing is, i don't think the guy at the garage fitted a new clutch cable or anything like...
It's not a problem mate glad you all stopped by - there were quite a few there that joined the convoy!
If some pics don't load up the first time, just hit refresh and they should load the second time around.
Cost me £10 to have my wheel put in a bath, puncture located (turned out to be the inside of my alloy being bent), tyre taken off, alloy hammered back into shape, tyre put back on and sealed properly.
£10 well spent, turns out the guy that did it was from ClioSport too, and he owned a valver :)
Hi there,
When i bought my valver, it had a really stiff clutch in there, which i'm guessing was probably an uprated one, but eventually it died after too much abuse.
So, i had a new clutch fitted as well as head gasket, full service carried out etc, at my local garage, and it's now running...
Are we allowed BBQ's on the ClioSport stand?
I remember plenty of people suggesting it but i'm sure i read somewhere that they weren't allowed at FCS?
Just need to know whether to bring one or not.. weather dependent of course..
I have a system similar to that deal that was listed above, although i don't have the JBL sub and Amp. I do however have the JBL 6x9's in the rear and the JBL 10cm components up front.
I don't believe you can fit 13cm speakers in the front doors of a MK1 clio, 10CM will replace the standard...
Was on my way to work at about 7:45AM this morning and a Naples Valver went past me going in the other direction. He flashed me first and i flashed him but i don't know who it was!
Couldn't see any ClioSport stickers in my mirror but my eyesight isn't the best, so he might be from here.
Nice...
Hey all!
I've got a black MK1 valver and i need a couple of things sorting before FCS.
I've got a bit of rust on my drivers side arch and a load of rust on the bottom of my boot. The boot isn't as important but i'd really like to get my arch sorted so it looks good. The other side is mint...
What about some ClioSport.net flags?
I was driving around today looking at all the England flags that people have on their cars, thought it would be cool if loads of us had these with a 'ClioSport' flag on attached to our cars?
It'd be something non-static to attract people's eye..
My valver feels much quicker in the passenger seat...
It doesn't feel as quick when you're driving as you know when to expect harsh acceleration and cornering, plus you have the support of the steering wheel to hold you in place.
Passengers have no idea when you're about to slam your foot...
For those of you that are going to FCS this year and live in the east Midlands (near Leicester), would anyone be interested in having a mini meet up to get all our cars cleaned up and looking mint for the show?
Normally washing cars is quite boring by yourself so i thought it might be good to...
