Spotted a very nice looking 197 in the multistorey car park next to Lincoln Uni, my valver was parked a few spaces away. First one i've seen, loving the beefy brakes on those!
Did you forget you have a dinner set in your boot from when you went shopping? :rasp:
Could be something in the brakes?
My calipers were loose on both sides after a mate of mine changed the disks for me, they were dead tight when he re-fitted them but they loosened up, they rattled like...
Cheers for posting that! Some very good suggestions.
Wondering if it could be the Coolant Temp Sensor or ISCV..
I'll find some guides on how to check those and wait until i've got some days off work to have a look.
No i don't smoke at all, neither did the previous owner, but who knows about the owners before then..!
Is carpet cleaner different to upholstry cleaner then? Slightly stronger?
Cheers.
They look nice at night but i'm not much a fan of them in the daylight. Wouldn't mind a set on my valver if they were black/tinted and if you couldn't see the LED's though.
Randomly, i was just looking at my roof lining in my valver whilst sitting in traffic, and i just noticed how dirty it was!
Its got loads of dirty black marks (a bit like water patches) all over it, although i've got no idea how they got there. It's all over the roof as well, not just certain...
I've been looking at these for my valver, i've got an oldish Sony head unit and i'd like to use my Steering Wheel controls. Went to Halfords and they had a kit at a similar price to that (£30/40ish), but i didn't buy it because it was just so bulky!
Zmaster2k - Where are you planning on...
Basically, the story so far is, on some mornings, my valver will misfire slightly, when it's particularly cold out, but when i give it some slight revs to warm it up it soon sorts it out and i can happily drive to work with no further problems.
This morning though, it was quite bad. Started...
Sort it out! Get a sticker on there, i always umm and ahh whether i should post if i don't see a CS sticker, maybe that's your problem!
You wouldn't have seen me as i was walking to work, had just parked the valver in the car park. I didn't know your car had a turbo?!
My valver has some fuel rails sitting just on top of the aux belt and that makes a whirring noise when i accelerate. Think it's a common problem in valvers, need to get them moved before the pipes split..
Could be something similar? Might be something resting on or touching one of the belts..
I work near there as well. Do you park in the Great Central Street gravel car park? That's where i park my valver. My workmate parks his racing blue 182 there too!
Wasn't too bad! Only witnessed her pulling away from traffic lights then progressing around the roundabout. She didn't unleash the full grunt of the engine though :(
Spotted a Renault Sport hoofing it into Birstall today, probably on the run home from work. Not sure what it was, 172 perhaps?
Spotted a modded clio at the Petrol station in Birstall as well, possibly 1.2/1.4, you were having a good nose at my valver :rasp:
I'll have to take a look, not gonna be easy especially with the cold weather and dark evenings setting in!
Funnily enough, when i was reversing onto the drive today they suddenly came on (i could see the reflection in the garage door). Quite strange!
Something must need cleaning up somewhere..
Corrosion in which plug? The gearbox end? I don't think mine will be too bad, when i used to put it in reverse the lights came on after a second or so, not instantly like they used to, and now they've stopped working altogether. Perhaps the connection just needs a clean? I take it i can't get to...
