What tyres do you have? Are the roads you're testing this on heavily cambered? Try getting in the middle of the road and see if the effect is reduced.
Other than that, have you checked trackrods, rack/bushes, balljoints etc. for play?
I doubt you're profile is going to matter too much so long as you have a suitable offset.
That said, 205/45/16 should fit with the right offset wheel, as that's the standard size, IIRC?

Local chap with a 172 just had his car slip out of gear. Goes back in to gear but no drive, speedo is going up though. Where is the speedo drive in the box? I'm guessing driveshaft or diff, although the car had a new diff a year or so ago.
It's pretty simple - a multimeter set on continuity is your friend.

I found the easiest option was to cut the door loom inside the car on each side and then running a new cable from the crossover up to the tweeter.
The other option is some very careful drilling of the door multiplug.
