I can see where you are coming from with wanting to keep the original engine in the rx7 but you are not honestly saying that the rotary is more reliable than the LS are u?! And if you want to get it done by a company the rebuild will cost more than the car. Not everyone wants to take their...
No mate I think you are the one on smack... Have a read of the V8 rx7 forums and they all say they get better mpg on the ls motors and don't have to check the oil every time they fill the car up with fuel. The V8 has far more flexibility than the std rx7, and although the rotary has a nice noise...
Whys that? More reliable, more power out the box, more torque, no real difference in handling, better mpg?
I think after the first engine went after 20k miles and it cost more than the car was worth to rebuild then I'd do the clever thing and put a V8 in it.
Not getting the power down FTL... He would prob be faster with 400bhp then he would at least get some traction and not have huge lag...
If i was going to get an rx7 I'd buy a shell and put a v8 engine in it... Then you get all the looks with none of the fragility...
Hey guys im looking to get the original htc desire on an 18 month contract and the best i cant find is £30 a month 100 mins/500 txts and 500 mb a month on Vodaphone. Is this ok?
I dont think i'd spend my £50k on one though after having a think about it. An amazing car but I think id want something a bit more bonkers so I'd buy a nearly new gtr :)
My mum had bought a 3 series over a year ago and got another invite to a driving day. It only seems to be for people that have bought one though. This is the second one i've been to.
I was invited along to a BMW open day and allowed to drive a large selection of cars. I went last year but this year was even better as they had an m car to drive! Unfortunately a salesman accompanied me for the m3 but he didnt tell me to slow down once which was nice!
It was a stunning E90...
Next he will be painting his exhaust!! Now that really is anal! ;)
Just think of the car he could of bought if he didnt waste so much £ on cleaning products! Aston martin? Lambo?
Oh and if I was getting a vx220 it would be the turbo with the speedlines or this...

Always wanted one! But Id like a elise 111r as well
Just read that they have made quite a few chassis changes to take into account the lighter weight. They should have gone for a bit more power imo, but they obviously didnt want to deal with the increase of warranty work when components started to wear more quickly...
And that faster time is just from stripping weight? Did they make any chassis changes? If not then by taking the back seats out a std r26, adding a cf bonnet and the trick rubber it must be identical? As it has no more power?
I think the sportlines make the biggest difference to the cup. I always wanted them but never got round to getting them. :( I always thought std the cup was too high at the front esp and the sportlines look to be a perfect mod. Looks good.
