Try something else, if you dont like it, then come back and buy yourself a trophy.
A lot of the people on this forum have sold their clio's, realised they're probably the best car out there for the money and came back to them.
As for driving experiences....my old trophy would cover a back...
WIth the weather being awesome today I decided it was about time I got some pics of my 182 sorted and put up on here. Some are a bit dodgy due to the high sunlight levels but I tried my best.
Location : Durham Cathedral & surrounding areas
A few of the things adding to the spec ;)...
About a £30-40 difference if both headlights are mint mate. As for people saying its a 20 min job, maybe so if you've had the bumper off before, if you havent, then it can take a while longer.
so reading that is the car 1000kg plus you and the passenger?
If so you can find yourself another 60-70kg's out of the car if you fancy pulling it apart properly. I'd say fitting perspex windows would shed some decent weight as well.
Things like changing the exhaust could also release you a...
What sort of speed mate? I've used green top with a yellow pad before which seemed to be spot on, where as the yellow on yellow didnt seem to cut too much
Hi mate cheers for the reply, I dnt want to fill the swirls as such as they'll just re-appear after a few washes. I want to permanently remove them.
Truth be told I've ran out of menzerna that's why I'm looking to get something else
It's a while since I updated my product range or even logged into my dw account so thought I might get some help here first.
Im in desperate need of getting my 182 paint corrected before fcs, the car has very heavy swirling on each panel, what compound and pad combo would you recommend?

A friend of mine who doesnt have access to the forum, has recently rebuilt his trophy engine after a valve failure.
Since then the car has been massively over fueling, leaving a black burnt fuel trail all the way up the back of the car, it also hunts around on idle and it isnt very smooth...
Re: Chris's Black Gold Trophy to be
I think bg can do it for you but not sure what the finish will be like, I saw your project thread mate, where did you get the rust treatment from?
Re: Chris's Black Gold Trophy to be
Going to get the exhaust fitted this weekend along with my new Rs badge and brand new eibach sportlines. Followed closely by a clean :)
Welcome to the project log for my Clio 182 Black Gold. It's got both the cup packs etc. I've got to be completely truthful even though its not red, I prefer it over my trophy.
A few details about the car:
75k Miles
Belts done at K-tec at 63k Miles
Brembo Discs
Well Serviced
Custom Restrictive...
You could easily get that into the 13's with a good launch and no weight inside.
For Reference I had my car comfortably stripped and lost 70kg's out of it. 90-100kg stripped is easily achievable though.
As above, I've got the shell from my silver 172 cup, it's a good shell and never been in any bumps, it's currently a rolling shell as well.
Im just a bit unsure what to do with it as its sat in the garage taking up space.
Do people buy pretty much bare shells to turn into race/rally cars etc...
Sort the rust and spray it satin black with some naughty rattle cans. Much easier to repaint if you have a sight seeing moment whilst on track lol.
I never understand why people blow £0000's of pounds on silly parts for their track cars that fundimentally make no real difference, all you need...
Bit of a tough one really, one thing I dont understand is why you'd want to spend £3500 on the prep, welding and painting of the car, only to go and lash it round a track/hillclimb. If it's a show car you want then fair do's, if its a fun car you want keep it tidy but dont blow shitloads of...
