Ive done two track days - one with EasyTrack at Brands, and another with Palmersport. Both were very professionally run and my car was fine, other than the obvious tyre wear. Many others on here have driven on track safely without any problems. The key is to drive within your limits and keep...
My mate has a team of 4 Clio Cup race cars and doesnt particularly rate the Orbisound exhaust (esp. not at £900!). Still, you dont get a choice if you compete in the series!
I think you can do far better for the road with the likes of H&S, Magnex, etc.

We can go...according to Gemma
These days are part of the Autocar members club events so there will be a mix of cars attending, but its hosted by a manufacturer.
Thanks for the ideas.
* OK, so all Clios, not just 172s.
* Run off areas will never be as good as at Bedford.
* EasyTrack have a number of Clios/172s already on their books.

Well, personally, I think black and titanium are the two best colours for the 172. Its all down to personal preference.
Just an observation
Hmm, Im not one for loads of badges on my car - the more understated the better, IMHO
I know its been mentioned before, but I do find people try to race you more as soon as they spot the sport badge etc.
Just spoken to Marcus @ EasyTrack and hes more than willing to help us put together a 172-only track day if there is enough interest.
We would need:-
* Around 30 cars
* People willing to pay between £100-150 (estimated) for the day
What say you all?
Just spoken to Gemma @ Palmersport, and there are two more events so far this year, but not 172 specific.
One is an AMG event (16-Aug), the other is a Jag event (04-Sep). The format of the day is very similar - 3 to 4 hours on-track time, and a ride/drive in an AMG Merc/Jag. Alas, no Clio Cup...
Im with TonyKL on the sticker front
Id only had my car an hour and I removed:-
* garage sticker on rear window
* ELF sticker on rear window
* alarm stickers on side windows
* tacky garage tax disc holder
Either white spirit or furniture polish (spray on, leave to soak, then wipe off)...
