Get it hooked up to an OBD reader see what/if any codes are being logged. If it's misfiring probably coil pack, i've changed 2 on mine.

I'd say go for what others are posting, cat back system, induction kit and maybe some lowering springs and decent tyres. After that just keep it well maintained with regular services, I've had my clio 1.2 16v for about 7 years now and i still love it :D

I usually put motul 8100 5w40 fully synth in my 1.2 16v

Re: Cambelt Con/Rip off tactics. My 1.2 16v is 10 years old and never had a belt change, on 55k just now.

Na no special tools required just the usual sockets, screw drivers and torx bits n pieces.

throttle body is a bit of a pain to get to on the D4F. It's underneath the inlet plenum, It's not hard to remove or do just a pain.

Try and get hold of a obd code reader see if it has logged any codes. That would be my first port of call :)
