check its the unit with a multimeter, make sure a current is getting to the horn... mine was on its 3rd horn when it came to sell... and it was a 2004 car..

you do know the bonnet release handle isn't just for the sport.. its universal on all mk2 ph2's the arch liners are in 2 parts on the front arches... around 30 quid per section.. they come with the little metal thread inserts fitted as well..

i see your knowledgable about this sort of thing... im assuming its CAT X as most of their stuff is light damage... but if you think about factory parts pricing then it wouldn't take much to write it off..
