would have thought so, unless renault decided to change the holes where the bungs go in. only different bit could be where they screw into the bumper...
if its had a repair likelyhood is that its one off his own car that was replaced with a brand new one... then decided to repair it and flog it on ebay..
is it a real valver? if so don't do a complete engine, just make it a hybrid, i believe this is a williams bottom end, i don't know much else about it..
check CV gaitors on 172's specifically, common thing as clip breaks quite a lot.. also don't know about ph1's but mk2 ph2's have a lot of dodgy hazard light switches..
im sure if you had payed the cheap guy a little extra he would have changed the water pump... which would be wise as it will cost virtually the same as you have payed already if that fails....
undo the starter motor wires, take the battery out, problem is that it is more likely to be trailered away, cant he bung someone 15 quid to use their garage? or park it behind someones car on a drive etc?
it will probably be a different shade, you will never find a replacement panel a perfect colour match, but seems a good price and you may find the colour match is reasonable, just be prepared to get it resprayed... from your other thread i could see the scratches etc. just depends on what your...

like i say its 60 quid then for the front section off each side, might as well get it from a dealer as theyre usually twisted/cracked as its rare to find one without front end damage..
