Thought I'd post a few pics of my 172. You might recognise it, it used to be Mike's from Rentech. Just had the bumper resprayed, carbon splitter added and badges from ChrisD172 fitted. The pics aren't great quality. Comments welcome! PS: Silvervisions are on the way..

Front bumper resprayed. Someone scratched f*ck out of it by scraping it along a wall... (Me). Had the dash inserts & steering wheel insert colour coded at the same time.

Just got the car back - A1 job as expected.. Will get some pics up later. Yours was looking in a better state than when I last saw it Daz!

Dunno how you'd colour match without the car present? Sorry to hear about your problem f0xy, but I've never had any issues. He did a lot of work on my old 19 and was spot on. I'll post up some pics of my bumper once done.. Ben

Need to buy some new shocks for the Valver, but unsure whether this is standard ride height or lowered? Can anyone tell from the photo?

Disc certainly isn't fucked, but the piston is extended. Any one kpnw if I can wind it back in? And if so, how?

Hit a bit of brick on the road on the way home and it's dislodged one of the rear brake pads - how unlucky? Struggled the couple of miles home with minimal braking. Just whipped the wheel off and the piston is touching the rear disk, no suprise there. Question is, is it just case of winding...

Looks like I'll be better paying up.. I have done a complete engine swap on a 19, but with the help of Chris_H - somewhat of a master when it comes to Renaults!

How tough it is it to swap the box on my own? Big job?

The gearbox on my valver has died.. Been quoted £400 +vat to get a recon one (price includes fitting..) Seems reasonable to me, any comments?

The cable that selects reverse gear on my valver snapped, now I have a new one, how do I go about fitting it? Do I have to take the gear stick and assembly out of the car first? Can I do it situ? Would appreciate help from anyone who's done it before.. Cheers Ben

I need the cable that the collar on the gear lever pulls to get reverse gear. Also after the bracket that the battery fits to.

BTW: Ignore my username, it's a Clio valver I drive now.. :)
