I'm doing all 4 tomorrow. The upper mount and dog-bone look easy. I've read the guide on the upper gearbox mount but can't find much on the lower.
Any guides?
My local motor factors can supply a Kangoo TD drivers side mount & gearbox mount (assuming this is the one under the battery tray) for £51.00 and £16.00.
Will these fit and do the prices seem OK?
Thanks.
My 172 is in need of a little TLC at the mo'.
As it's worth peanuts, it's not worth selling so i'm going to treat her to some new bits and pieces.
The plan at the mo' is K-Tec engine mounts, 182 manifold, new exhaust, coilies of some description.
Now this little lot will require some...
My first question is, does it actually do anything above and beyond a blow over with the jet wash?
I've got a Karcher with a soap tank and also the soap spray attachment.
Is a lance vastly superior to this or will Snow Foam in this do the trick?
As above. I've just spend the best part of 2 days washing, claying, washing, machine polishing, EGP'ing and then waxing ready for winter.
My next job next weekend are the wheels and the plastics.
What do I use to really get into the lower grille as it's filthy and what product is durable...
Are these worth buying?
I've sourced a set for £70 + £10 delivery and fancied a challenge but wondered a. If they're any good and b. How difficult would they be to fit?
The world is a better place.

My grab handles have seen better days of late. Do the phase 1 items, particularly the 172 items fit the phase 2?
Did any other models other than the 172 have the relevant window switches and mirror adjustment incorporated into the handle as i'll probably spray them silver myself.
Following on from this thread: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=366392, it now looks highly likely that it is an engine mount issue following 2 expert opinions.
Q 1. Where is the 4th engine mount? I know of the one under the battery, Dog-bone and top left.
Q 2. When adjusting...
I changed my O/S driveshaft today as I have a squeel/binding type/noise sensation when really giving it the beans.
The CV gaiter was ruined so I assumed this dry joint was the issue.
While I was under the car, I noticed that there was a leak around the gearbox where the bell housing mates to...
Just been reading about these.
Just to be sure I buy the right stuff, they're in a large, rectangular, flat bottle. Usually lemon fragranced?
The Asda one I have in the cupboard is called Multi Surface Cleaner and has dilution instructions on the back?
Sound right?
I let the £7.00 Pikeys loose on the Clio for the first time since May at the weekend.
The problem with a poor wash is that all of spattered on SRP is left showing on the black trims making them look grey.
I fancy a good cleaning session next week but want to do a proper job.
Any ideas?
I've been contemplating this for ages and I can't decide which way to go.
I'll be ordering my company car in the next couple of weeks which will be a Golf GT TDI.
I was originally going to sell the Clio as I thought it was worth buttons but having looked on Ebay, Pistonheads etc, it looks like...
Ladies & Gents,
My car has developed a whir/squeal when giving it beans. I must confess that I haven't checked CV's etc. as my new house doesn't have the same facilities as my parents.
My initial thoughts are drive shaft/CV but the noise only kicks up when I really give it the full works. I...
I'm currently looking at my options with the Clio and have, god forbid LOL suggested replacing it with an Impreza.
I wuld love to keep it but need more pace. aving been a member of Migweb for years, alot of the guys n there fit bike carb's or TB's t their C20's.
What would the costs involved...
A mate has just picked his Impreza up today so we were having a poke around.
We were joking about the size of the scoop and sucking things up when we spotted this:
Baked Guinea fowl anyone?
As the Clio will become a second car very shortly due to the arrival of my company car, I have a number of options.
I want a second car to maintain my no claims and some fun!
The Clio is a 2002 full fat with 62k. I paid £6400 for it 3 years ago & would guess it's worth about £3500 plus £1000...
If I put my car in for an MOT a month early and it fails, can I still see out my original MOT or is my car deemed un-roadworthy from that date and will no longer be driveable?
Evening guys,
I've managed to find a picture of the stub axle spacer I need. Can someone check Dialogys to see if a part number is listed?
The car is a 2002 172.
It's the N/S rear stub axle/hub spacer.
I've worked out why my Clio keeps killing bearings, i'm missing a section of the spacer at the end of the stub axle. See below.
The good side:
The bad side:
As you can see, the central section of this spacer has disappeared so the bearing is around 1/4" further down the stub axle...
Following on from this thread http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=331193, this little bad boy is what is causing my headaches I think.
I can't remember if I binned the original when I first changed my bearing. Can these be bought/replaced and which way around should it be fitted?
Evening guys. Long time, no see.
The bullet is still in my possesion (just) and has failed its MOT on a few niggly points today, 1 being the N/S rear bearing.
I first changed the rear bearing about 3 months ago after it gave way spectacularly around a roundabout and ended with the rear...
