    scart to hdmi?

You'll find yourself wanting to replace everything to make the most of the higher definition. My old freeview pvr looked ridiculous on an hd tv. Scart is analogue and hdmi is digital so the results won't be great, pretty sure you can buy cables though. Can also buy analogue - digital...

Pass side seat air bag blown after hitting pothole

Renault have been known to make a contribution to the repair costs, even outwith warranty, as they are really big on safety. Although with obvious pothole damage they might not be interested.

    Refurb

Well if you have 3 clearcoat alloys and one powder coated / painted I reckon one will stand out.

    Refurb

you can't really refurb one wheel it'll stand out like a sore thumb, sourcing a wheel is probably better

    Refurb

In fact I might be talking mince, think I paid 40 per wheel but there were no tyres to remove or fit.

One for the clever parts people/specialists

Track rods made a huge difference on mine, slight play would have passed an mot no problem, changed them and tightened the handling up brilliantly.

One for the clever parts people/specialists

I was advised only to use genuine Renault track rods and had to identify the rack first, there was a sticker on it which was just hanging on! Can confirm my 52 plate 172 has an smi rack

Yellow Koni Sport Shocks setup help

They're knurled so yeah, you can align to a specific knurl (bump). Make sure you turn them to full soft or full hard as a reference point and use the same reference point for each side as there may be backlash in the adjuster I.e. one turn from full soft might not be the same as one turn from...

Yellow Koni Sport Shocks setup help

Rears should be run harder than fronts otherwise it feels terrible. I have run mine on full soft and it wasn't great, currently run them as follows: 1 1/4 (1.25) turns from softest at the front 1 3/4 (1.75) turns from softest at the rear

Eibach sportlines and Koni adjustable dampers on the way!

The damping is easy to adjust, camber correction is not built in but is easily achieved with camber bolts. Both Koni and Eibach are reputable brands with a good support network and very good heritage. Coilovers were never even considered for my car, to me they would only offer the option for...

Eibach sportlines and Koni adjustable dampers on the way!

I bought the Konis second hand, one of the rears failed after a year (not burst just collapsed due to a clip failing in a groove), a bit of a ballache but I have a spare rear now at least.

Eibach sportlines and Koni adjustable dampers on the way!

I have this setup, imo it sits perfectly. I have camber correction bolts on too and run the dampers in a fast road setup: 1 1/4 (1.25) turns from softest at the front 1 3/4 (1.75) turns from softest at the rear Turn in is quicker and there's more feel, recommended. I replaced the top...

Steering pulling to the right after gearbox replacement but tracking is spot on????

Re: Steering pulling to the right after gearbox replacement but tracking is spot on?? If driveshafts are unequal lengths it will cause the car to steer to one side more than the other, so I can only imagine having the wrong driveshafts would have the same effect. Torque steer basically...
