John, from what i remember there was a willy 2 on the front row next to yours and another valver which i think was blue. quite shocking that someone would carelessly open their door like that.

mine did that. ended up having to replace the dials if thats any help to you mate.

My car needs a clutch change but i really need it to be done as cheaply as possible. Therefore does anyone know of any mechanics in the swindon area or themselves that would want to do it. Its only a 1.4RT so it shouldnt be too difficult and i would obviously provide all necessary clutch...

highly unlikely that it would be possible as there was no auto box for the valver either iirc so there is no gearbox in existance that would fit?

I dont quite understand why this is required. you certainly cant do it if you have directional tyres as the pattern would be facing the wrong direction. apart from the tread pattern facing a different way i cant really cant see what swapping the sides would do or what advantages there may be.

cheers for clearing that up Jay. so im guessing the early laguna had a 1.8 E type engine then? otherwise the tb would be incompatable. in which case is it only the tb and injector system that is of use from that engine?

^^^ ben has already said, simple tb swap wont do particularly much. better to just get headwork if you are only doing one thing. obviously to benefit from the increased airflow and injection the head will need some work anyway.

to be honest i have tried two hill power stage 1 chips for the 1.4rt in my car and i couldnt notice any difference. rev limiter was unchanged ( probably deliberately) but i seriously couldnt tell the difference between the chipped ecu and mine except when i use my ecu, my exhaust system doesnt...

is the 1.8 spi an energy engine aswell or is it the rsi/1.8 rt lump (which is a volvo iirc)?

yeah if you do what Mike did and get yourself a Mk2 then supercharge it and obviously uprate everything similar to how Mike did you can expect ~350bhp. enough to compete. mind you, throw enough money at a car and it will beat anything so im sure more than 350bhp is possible...

frankly the concept of it working is bit of bs iirc
