It depends on what people are prepared to pay and where you live. When I put my postcode into Autotrader and search for 182s in a 40 mile radius, only those at Motorpoint appear in the search (theyre £11699 minus all cup bits, registration and tax). Therefore, a higher price second hand might be...

I would sell mine if I could get what I want for it, but I doubt I will.
Its a brilliant car (as is the whole Clio RS series), well specced, fast enough, handles brilliant - but (and its a big one) its hugely flawed because of all the tiny little flaws. If youve got a sucky dealer, then the...
Was out last weekend with EvilJohn and Cli0 172, got some pics down by the Forth Rail Bridge. Hope you like em.

They can be adjusted manually too.
My right hand light wasnt pointing far enough up the road and I couldnt see sh!t at night on the motorway, so I had to adjust them.
You can do this by adjusting the following nut:

Well, its back out of the garage after THREE days of warranty work.
They fixed:
1) oil leak from the camshaft cover / bolts - to fix common 182 oil leak
2) brake pedal switch - to fix the brake lights not coming on when pedal depressed slightly
3) timing belt replaced - to fix the...
Bear in mind that Optimax is a normal (not super) unleaded fuel with additives that can degrade over time. Allegedly, Optimax can be lower than 98 RON because of this. There is a lot of info about this on many car forums.
Ive been putting normal unleaded into my 182 for two weeks now and i...
Was out for a photoshoot with Eviljohn and Cli0 172 at South Queensferry yesterday, spotted a silver MK2 172 parked up and a silver MK1 172 with a Cliosport sticker in the back window at about 4pm coming down the hill into the town. Anybody?
I ripped the headunit out the other night, and the tilting face started working fine... strange.
Maybe it was jammed in, or packed in to tight? The wires at the back of the headunit are a bit scary :o.
Seems crazy that the general opinion ive been getting from the forum is that 182s second hand are totally worthless (considering RRP).
Just over £9k for an 04 plate Black Gold? Thats an insane price, good for the buyer!
I dont get it. Looking on Autotrader there are a lot of older 172s and...
You will need to drive it a good 10 minutes to get the oil warmed up so you can take it to 7200 rpm, otherwise the limiter cuts in much sooner (about 6700 rpm or so) and make sure you keep the revs up to get the most of it.
After having a 1.2 Clio as a courtesy car when my 182 was in for some warranty work, i thought the breaks on the 1.2 were overly assisted - you only needed to touch the pedal and it was "BRAAKKEE!". The 182 has much more of a progressive brake and better feel; you need to push the pedal a lot...

Yeah I get the clunking as the car starts and stops.
