The parts aren't cheap. The wheels, bumper, bootlid and diffuser including paint were over £3k which is very cheap as I found a few bargains. Then there's everything else I've spent on it.
It's the car as I wanted it though, the looks of the CSL with the luxuries of standard.
Not a fan of...
It's a genuine CSL bumper ;)
Costs have been enough to buy a genuine CSL although I wanted the looks without the compromise of the CSL. Plus, I'm too broad for the seats.
I didn't think the offset allowed or is that where the swapping of top mounts comes in?
It does. I wasn't trying to make...
As she's now pretty much as I want her, other than a damn good clean, I thought I'd stick some pic's up.
She is filthy and the pictures aren't the best but you get the idea.
As she started (not mine but the same barring the leather).

Ladies and Gents,
Long time no post. Glad to see things are still ticking along nicely on here.
I still officially own my 172 after I parked it on my parents drive a year ago with suspected head gasket failure.
My Mate has decided to take the car for peanuts but after taking the head off, it...
Re: One Year on & £3000 spent
A blast from the past, that's Storthes Hall. My Good Lady used to live there. It's in the middle of nowhere but I used to love the drive over on Sunday night from Leeds, some great roads.
Car looks great with the Orange touches.
I spotted the Anthracite wheels first then my patented Renault F1 team stickers under the side repeaters.
It looked well.
I was in the grey E46 M3 as we were sat at the traffic lights.
I certainly have. Thanks for the compliment, she did always look superb although i've fallen out with her of late.
In her prime:
The M3 (Not mine but how it will be once the CSL's & Eibachs are fitted in the next few weeks)
I thought about keeping the Clio as it's worth buttons really but...
After nearly 4 years & various different wants/desires/dreams, I've finally done what I've been planning for a while and bought a replacement chariot.
The Clio has been brilliant but has p!ssed me off no end of late with niggly little issues such as a radiator hose leak, non starting on first...
I'm picking my new car up tomorrow evening so I will be clearing the Clio out.
I fitted an Alpine headunit and forgot to empty the CD changer before I disconnected the standard headunit. I would reconnect the standard head unit but my brother is having the car as is so it would be alot of...
Just had my renewal through for my 172 from Greenlight for £432.70 which is exactly the same as last year.
I'm 26 with 8 years protected NCB & No points. Light mods but nothing major. I would have expected a drop in price.
I've been quoted £580 by Flux. Are there any others I could get a...
Yep, TD mounts.
The theory goes that they have stiffer compound rubber. The buffers on the top mount are definately more substantial but I couldn't say how much effect that would have in isolation.
I chose them as my local motor factors didn't stock RS mounts.
Chaps,
I have my Kangoo top mount and upper gearbox mount fitted along with my new lower mount and poly-bushed dog bone.
The car is definatley much tighter with instant throttle response and a very solid feel now, even the ride is improved. There is no extra vibration caused by the mounts...
Different ways to achieve the same thing I suppose. I created more space by moving the battery backwards slightly and tweaking the coolant hose. No cutting was required.
