Well there we go chaps, cambelt confirmed
Slight update on the facts as I was a bit out before, car has covered only 2588 miles since fitted full new aux kit.
If the cambelt is nowhere to be seen when I take the mount of tomorrow, is there any way to tell if the aux caused it by splitting and taking it out, or is it an 'on the chin' jobbie
The cambelt was done in 09 and has never been an issue until now, car has always run sweet, it was done by a well respected specialist on here. So I don't doubt their workmanship.
Aux belt was done by a different garage in sep 12, albeit another garage that appears on here that does hundreds of...
Hey guys, just after any sort of input regarding the car.would be nice. I believe the cambelt has decided to go its own way.
Scenario is, pulled out of a junction at about 12mph then the car just died and wouldn't start. No loud bangs, just cut out.
called the RAC and he came and had a look, we...
Yeah I understand it would have been my fault. I guess its just one of those things you kind of get complacent to after driving for a while.
People flash to give way. No matter what any highway code says that's a reality. However in this instance I misjudged it. No accident so I will get over it.
Didn't know where else to put this so insurance seems the best place.
Situation today was that I was at a T junction wanting to turn right. Car from the right let me out as traffic started queuing to my left, all fine and good.
As I was waiting halfway in the road looking left for a gap, a...
I have had the RS192 for a couple of years now, I think I may be going soft now as it is beginning to seem louder and a bit drony to me now.
I think the absolute truth is nothing is as quiet as the standard.
He might end up getting a fair price for it then hopefully if he bought it cheapish.
Whatever you do, you need to talk this repairing idea out of his head if he still wants to, it will only end in tears.
Don't forget if the paint is flaking off, that if you put what is essentially a huge sheet of glue on top, that when you come to take it off you will in all likelihood take the paint clean off aswell.
I think its like Lawro said, young people buying and not being able to afford.
They have a couple of grand to splash on a car so see these little bargains and decide to try and show off to their mates with a 2L. Then they bankrupt themselves with daft insurance premiums, then they get stung with...
I hate taking the wipers off, you can pull and pull for absolutely ages and just when you are about to give up, you manage to get it off by just breathing on it.
I think perhaps the insurance has just sky rocketed in my area.
Just messing about with dummy quotes on-line and I can't even find a renewal price for less than £100 more for my current car. That's with quoting an extra years no claims aswell.
Has having the car 4years got anything to do with...
Can someone please explain to me why a dci 65 is more expensive to insure than my 182.
I was looking to change to benefit from the cheaper running costs aswell as not using my 182 for what it was intended anymore.
I probably still will in a few months as the tax is only £30 and overall...
How far apart did you put the bars/feet. I followed the thule fitting guide measurements but the rear one seems about an inch lower than the front one. Its not really an issue tbh but I park next to a level wall and can see it along the brick line.
How do you know if the wipers scratch the glass. I mean with that level of paranoia I'm surprised you allow yourself to get off the drive. Its a crazy world out there. Is your name 'monk'
Where did you manage to get the black edition from bud? I can't seem to get one at all at a fair price anyway. I'm not paying over £430 for one when they are supposed to retail at £360 when they arrive here in large numbers eventually
There's a chap on ebay that just sells used thule bars etc. Located in kirkham. Nice bloke aswell. I got mine from him.
Just found whats needed for a 1*2...
It does look a bit like a 182.
All it needs is front and rear bumpers, side skirts, wings, lights, grill, exhaust, spoiler. wheels and a full interior.
He's done the hard work already.
Hey guys,
I have just bought a new mtb and am planning on travelling further afield with it, so chucking it in the back isn't an option when I need other gear in there as well. Can anyone point me in the right direction of some bars (ebay or other) that will fit a 182. I have browsed ebay and...
Have you done the check where you hold the button at the end of the stalk with ignition off and then switch the ignition on whilst still holding the button.
All the dash lights should come on. Look for the important ones to see if the airbag, esp, abs lights are there. Otherwise it means they...
You shouldn't need a new bottle unless it is cracked, but the pumps are only cheap, less than £15. They are the same for some citroens and peugeots. Also remember there are two pumps in there, one for the bumper washer jets and one for the windscreen/rear screen.
