i do but i no longer have a scanner im afarid, binned it few months ago. if paul see's this he can post them up if he wants to.
did about 300 miles this weekend and managed to return 35mpg and most of that was country roads thrugh the lake district etc i would guess about 4mpg more than normal.
i have pm all those that have asked for a price, the origianl group buy price on pg 1 has since been further reduced.
i think pauls pm box was full the other day, give him a ring if anyone is interested.
see you on the 21st naith.
baggers - have sent you a pm mate.
makes the car feel like a larger capacity n/a lump, the vvti kick at higher revs is gone its like the power kick you used to get is now there all the time at any revs.
a few days on now and im glad to report it has also solved that cold running stutter i used to have for the first few minutes on very cold days when it was quite jumpy.
my mpg is still up on what i used to achieve, currently after a good mix of driving it is 35.1mpg, my usual at the end of a...
Just got back today, had a great time at RStuning and Paul is a top bloke.
I even managed 41.9 mpg on the way home, all the std functions are working and the midrange feels like a different car.
Paul says after my first few runs on my std map at the lower end had scope for good gains, the...
its not a problem with the 182 design 99% of the time, but std brakes on a spirited run will overheat and fade quite quick. i dont think they are much worse than many other oe spec allot design but they could be better.
black turinis would be nice and different from the usual amphasite
on roads i have it on, have found it kicks in a little on long sweeping bends when the car is not approaching its limits. have turn it off for track days though, it is way to intrusive and linked to the t/c which i dont want on.
i wouldnt worry to much, unsprung weight does make a diff but its not like night and day. just depends how much you like the 182 wheel and what kind of price you can get a set from. i would like a set of lightweight 16 inch alloys and the 182 design is rubbish at allowing the brakes to cool they...
i have a 182 alloy with tyre in the shed, i will weigh it for you tomorrow if you want.
cant help with the 172 weight though, the 182 alloy does feel quite heavy when i am taking them on/off the car
needs more amphasite touches for the contrast, its like a mix of black and silver !
on a serious note great looking car, maybe carbon wing mirrors would help balance it up a little and bring some black to the sides without going too far.
mintex m1144 track pad is good value for money and i havnt managed to fade them yet with similar other brake mods to you. i really wanted pagid blues but was a bit skint after the other brake mods i did.
birchdown, it wont be the belt at fault but more than likely the tensioner they are often changed at the same time. be carefull driving it mate. if it snaps and finds its way into your cambelt your in trouble.
i had this brakes guarantee on my old car, had a 106gti i added drilled and grooved front discs and had new std pads fitted at kwik-fit. they told me to keep the paperwork safe i went back every year for new pads fitted and never had any problems with them.
just turned up, they checked they...
i understand the theory and how they work as said earlier i have used them (front upper, front lower, rear upper and changes in front and rear arb's) on previous cars and been very impressed on both road and track, my only point was the application of the front upper onto the 1*2, thats all...
have used various front braces on past cars and used them on track and found they do help, but only those with the bolts which allow direct additional strength to the suspension geometry under load.
still they do look nice.
im right in thinking through the front strut braces are drilled in and then self tapped/bolted through the holes. the barce isnt attached to the suspension itself so as such its actuall only as strong as the bit of metal you have just drilled holes into.
some cars have top suspension turret...
for the rear brace you unbolt the bolt ontop of the mount in your boot and put the brace under that and then put the bolt back on over the top. is that what youve done or is yours just placed ontop? once bolted down its solid and cant be moved or lifted up.
i replaced the oe with the std mintex ones which were ok until a spirted B road blast faded them without any warning, i went for the mintex m1144 which are track pads and find them very good. for what your after though for road use what about the mintex m1155 i think they are a fast road pad...
on some cars they make a diff i find on the 182 they dont, the front is quite stiff and it only screws into the top mounts is not actually botled to the suspension so i dont see how its any stronger than the screws your using into the car. on some models they can bolt on which are better.
i...
for 1k assuming your engine is a good one to start i would go down a panel filter route maybe look at better cold air feeds, matched inlets, decat and exhaust and remap. with a second hand exhaust you may be just over 1k and thats about as much as you can do without going down the head off cams...
