...Silkolene proS 5w 40 fully synthetic engine oil..?
How does this compare to other oils (general smoothness, cost etc)?
Is it ok/ good for normal everyday driving?
Rob.
Dont really know mate to be honest not to much!?!
In Halfords they have a whole different range of pressure types.. Like I said I only want it for the water pressure not all the extras that come with some of them.
Of the top of my head I cant remember what pressures are available but would I...
I want to purchase one of these but there are loads of different pressure types. Obviously I want enough pressure to blast the grit off but dont want it to harsh that it would start blasting paint off!! lol
I only want this as my pre wash and final rinse not bothered by all the accessories...
Im pretty sure my 182 clutch bits high! Ive not really got another clio to compare it but compared to my mates fiat my biting point is really high!
Rob.
PS also clutch seems a bit creaky most times sitting in traffic anyone else get this?
Cheers Chris wont be doing spark plugs just the oil! That Silkolene proS Is that definatly ok for everyday use in the 182?
Also that link doesnt specify how much oil you get, would it be enough for the oil change just £39.99??
cheers
Rob.
Is the fuel rail cover that big metal lump right at the front of the engine?
Is it easy to remove/replace for the job?
Any pics of this to confirm?
cheers
Rob.
That dont sound like much fun! Isnt there a special tool I need to remove the oil filter?
How do you all rate the right up on "oil change" diy section?
Rob.
Im nearly on 18k now so am gonna need so fresh oil for the 182.
Thing is Im gonna attemp this myself as cash is tight what with a new year on the tax and all that...
Looking in the DIY guides there is a full right up of how to do this, although no pictures which could be more useful :-(
Now...
Shocking! I really thought the whole 182 range was different to the 172..
So If a non cupped 182 was looking to change its shocks it could only look at fitting ones which are available for the 172 not 182?? So this would also mean coilovers etc??
Cheers
Rob.
I am a little confused do you mean non cupped 182s will run the same standard/after market shocks as the 172 only and a cupped 182 is totally different??
Rob.
Not considered any other tyre as im more than happy with these... Also 3% is pretty lame when you think about.
Ive just been down my local tyre shop 'Dartford Tyres' They dont have any in stock but can get them for friday and is £96 each including fitting, balancing etc..
Rob.
Right just had a look on www.mytyres.co.uk there are 2 different types 205/45 R16 83v (£77.30) or ZR16 (£87.20) I think the only difference is the speed rating is that correct?
Being a different speed rating would one style where faster than the other?
My 182 is a non cup so im guessing the...
Probably get a grilling for suggesting this but a quick and easy option would be kwik-fit?
How are places like that in terms of cost and stock for the Exalto?
unfortunatly Fraggle I dont no anybody whos in with cosco.. That does sound like a good price though, Ive heard of some places selling them at 100 or more!!
Rob.
16500 miles, now only 2mm of thread up front left so I need some pretty urgently..
Im obviously looking for the best deal/price around so where do you recommend?
Also can the club discount come into play anywhere?
Thanks for your help
Rob.
Hi mate most of the people on here have fitted at least one these mods you should try the 'search' at the top of the page...
Panel filter seems the easier option does seem to run smoother just depends what your after..
Rob.
Hi Lee, I, like most have had the engine mount problem which fortunatly for me was fixed at the first attempt.
The Tech who worked on my car used to own a 172 cup and was fully aware of all the knocks etc.
The problem with my mounts was the one situated under the battery and the top right mount...
If you buy a brand new part and it fails within 12 months it should be replaced for free anyway whether you have warranty or not?? (maybe only on certain things??)
Im pretty sure that is the case coz when i had my valver I purchased a new oil temp gauge which I had fitted at a non renault...
