Thanks, yeah they are 16's :) Umm, it has grey xenons yeah....I didn't realise they were 182 lights though? They were in it when I got it lol Thanks for all the comments people. :)

As per the title really, finally got round to fitting the new wheels on the car today...bought them off Edd on here, cheers fella! Before anyone says it, I know it needs lowered!Eibachs will be ordered next weekend, and then i'm almost ready for FCS...

Does it do it in all gears? Bit of a long shot, but i'll throw it in anyhow, the pipework from 'charger to throttle body isn't sucking itself shut is it? I've seen it happen on a 'charged GTi-6 before....

I just swapped mine on Friday because of the exact same problem. I wouldn't drive it 'til it's sorted personally, if it snaps, you're in a whole world of bother!

I'm picking mine up tomorrow, when are you planning on fitting it? As I may do it tomorrow if I have time, if not, i'll do it one night this week, and can then tell you all the pitfalls, although looking at it, it doesn't look that big of a job tbh.

I like them on that, I dare say the phase 1 wears them better. Keep them on it :)

I've been hearing mixed opinions on what tyres to put on my alloys, they're a 7.5j wide rim, and was hoping to stick to a 195 tyre as I have some good ones already, but people are advising a 205. Will 195s fit? I don't want the stretch look if i'm honest. Will 205s be ok on the 172 if...

Bucko - I've had it for a couple of months now. The rest of the tyres aren't BF Goodrich, they're a mixture of crap! :mad: Once this is sorted, it'll have proper rubber on decent rims :) dohert - I'll fit it myself, and got one lined up to pick up next weekend for considerably less than that!

Yeah that's the plan now, polybush it all while it's all out, be silly not to really, do it all at the same time, get my Eibachs here before I do it too.

It's from a previous owner mate, every wheel is kerbed to hell, and when I say kerbed, I think they've driven along the kerbs for miles, there's chunks out of them. I can only imagine it's hit a kerb hard at some point, as to my horror when I checked the spare wheel out to put on the front...

Well, the findings aren't good :( Subframe is well and truely bent! Are sport subframes different to a non sports?
