    Power Flex bushes

Yeah deffo, i'll probably upgrade when I go for a bit more power, but that'll be a fair way off yet I reckon!

    Power Flex bushes

Just standard ones, I was gonna go for the K-tec ones, but for now, I didn't see the point tbh.

    Power Flex bushes

Not yet although the dog bone needs doing ASAP. I've got new engine mounts all round besides the dog bone as it looked new at the time, but after todays spirited run, it's clear it's shot lol!

    engine mount cost?

£75 from Northwest performance, 10 minute job to fit, it's only about 7 or 8 bolts to remove in total IIRC.

    Power Flex bushes

Nah not at all! Pretty straight forward, all you need is a vice to press them into the wishbones, and it's pretty straight forward.

    Power Flex bushes

They'll last a lot longer than standard rubber bushes, you shouldn't have to worry about changing them again whilst you have the car, that's for sure. How do you find them? Mine seems to have made a great difference in the way it drives, much better/tighter feel.

    The 172 "project" thread

Yeah, it's simple mate, but then i'm used to working on all my own cars, so would say that. It isn't rocket science though!

    The 172 "project" thread

Cheers for the comments :) Polybushes weren't bad to fit at all, just a case of using a vice to press the metal outer sleeve into the wishbone itself, making sure it's nice and square, then a tack of weld on them to hold them, then just a case of lubing up the bush and pressing it in with the...

ARB Bushes - Fitting Advise Needed

I've done them a few weeks ago, but also done the wishbone ones, the difference is unreal. Middle ARB ones were a bit of a PITA to get back together at first. Well worth it though.

    The 172 "project" thread

Haha yeah it's copied from another forum I use! Bang up to date now with the new RS badge on the rear done today :)

    The 172 "project" thread

Phoned Renault up today to order 4 new wishbone bolts, £5.36+ vat each! Pick those up Friday, then it can all go back together on Saturday, including new wheels fitted! Can't wait! :D Ok then, so the car is now back together, and the new wheels are on! Poly bushes have made a remarkable...

    The 172 "project" thread

Another small update, with little in the way of pics... I recieved the new rear discs yesterday, so fitted them after work last night, no more cracked disc, yay!! I've got a couple of pics of this to put up later once my phone's charged. Today seen me start the job i've not really been looking...

    The 172 "project" thread

Another small update.... What with FCS coming up in a few weeks, it's time to get the car in shape for it! Which unfortunately means spending money :( ! Anyhow, latest purchase.... 16" OZ F1's This is now the beginning of a very long process, bloody car modifying! It's just too...

    The 172 "project" thread

I thought it was about time I had a thread up on here to keep updated as and when the Clio changes....so most of this is copied from another forum I use...enjoy! I bought the 172 late January, with the intention of keeping it standard...didn't last too long, as the mods rolled in....what you...

    offset for 16inch F1's?

35-40 should be fine IIRC. Can't remember what mine are ATM!

    My new boost barge

Nice! I'm thinking of getting another Scooby to use as a track toy later in the year, I miss mine! Get a quality oil pressure gauge in there though!! The Rota's suit them, although I think they'd look better a bit darker against the green.

    Onboard Track cams.

Piers, we may have the older GoPro camera (not the HD I think!)for sale as we've moved onto a different onboard set up for the rallying. It's my cousins, but i'll speak to him tomorrow, would no doubt sell it with the cage mount and whatnot...

    Coilover setup please

Thought as much tbh, guess I will just have to blame my driving making it interesting in the corners lol!! The rear seems very skittish when pushing it!

    Coilover setup please

26-28psi? Really? Hmmm my tyre place (I know not the best place to get advice from) reckoned 32 all round on mine? 16" OZ F1s 195/45/16s. Might explain mine being a bit "interesting" in the corners?

Few new additions to the 172, Yozza content!

I like that, a lot! I was after a black one for sooo long, but every one that came up were high milers. Love it.

    Stealthy V6

This is the one Vee that stood out head and shoulders above the rest at FCS for me, absolutely stunning colour. Love it!

    Cleaned and ready for FCS.

Shouldn't do, never has done before, and this time it won't have moved for hours lol!! Cheers, I love them too mate, funny that ain't it?! :rasp:
  23. M

    Cleaned and ready for FCS.

Yep, it got the lot, easier to sort out when I get there, if I can be bothered. I'll be too hung over to care tbh lol.
  24. M

    Cleaned and ready for FCS.

You can get away with that on a race car though :rasp:

Hmmm that's debatable mate lol. It'll be the odd one out on the Club-306 stand, not too far from CS though :o

    Cleaned and ready for FCS.

Thanks. Yeah i've a 250 mile drive down tomorrow, suppose I can give it a once over at the campsite, so long as it doesn't get covered in tree sap lol.

    Cleaned and ready for FCS.

Shhh, been trying to get hold of some clears for the past week, eventually ordered some, and they haven't turned up!!
  29. M

    Cleaned and ready for FCS.

It better not bloody rain tonight/tomorrow/Sunday or i'll be raging lol!! Anyone else had a good ol' clean of their motor for the weekend? I'm not going anywhere in it tonight now, keep it as clean as possible, shame i've got a bit of a drive down
