If Bluetooth is 'built in' to the factory stereo, how is will this work exactly if you remove the stereo. Never heard of an aftermarket stereo picking up factory fitted Bluetooth.
That said an aftermarket stereo with Bluetooth will evidently give you Bluetooth, but will have its own mic
I'd change water pump also, it's minimal cost. Mine was fine when I had dephaser done, 4months down the line it failed. So a saving on £15, ended up something like £400 :s
If it's the twisty bulb holders make sure the lug on the bulb is the right way round, even if it's not pushed in fully by half a mm it won't go back in, once your certain it's in right position then align the lugs on the holder just before the screws the keep on pushing in as you twist. Used to...
Not necessarily u can fit amp to factory radio by getting a RCA connector that splices onto speakers wires, been covered a few times before, some adapters are better than others- have a wee search, unless ur an audiophile theses have have some good reviews
I changed a stereo last year in a Renault van for customer, built in sat nav was reliant on stereo so if you go aftermarket I'd have my doubts the tomtom would still work. Likewise factory Bluetooth will be through stereo so removal of stereo would prevent this form functioning too
When I was looking for my 182, I seen a few but never researched properly. (Couple of years back), nowadays when I have a browse most of the 1*2's for sale have mileages where dephaser/ belt changes are required, so instead of forking out £500-800ish (depending on where in the country you are)...
I had this happen before I changed my pas pump, started out as a whine then a squeal then grinding. Since then I've only had a whine once and that was when I never noticed the fluid had dropped. Best check and top up in first instance, then if not solved if get a specialist to check
Looks s**t, what features u looking for? MP3, DVD, USB? - Halfords generally have some good deals, also car audio security are decent if your not in a rush and can wait for delivery
The only place to try would be tomtom directly, I'd imagine the Renault has a service charge on top of the tomtom price. Generally a map pack from them on memory cars are around £60-£80, it may be possible to get one cheap off eBay, but when it comes round to updates it may be troublesome. I...
Generally beeps are when the door/bonnet/boot is ajar, as for starting id imagine it could be an immobiliser issue if you need to blip it open/close which in turn would turn immobiliser on/off. I'd check all doors first and pop bonnet/ boot and slam shut, then if still a fault diagnostics should...
If you don't have controls you will need stalk adapter and patch lead. Adapter will depend if your factory radio was tuner list or update list, best person to give a shout is Matt (MTAudio), very competitive price, alternatively I'd go to dynamicsounds - excellent service (but I'd prefer to help...
James- try cleaning out socket with contact cleaner, also in some cases the prongs on the charges do no spring out enough to earth within the socket, so could try bending them out a bit (carefully)
Search 'headlight restoration', 3M kit works really well (used on previous cars myself), but lots of people on here talk about it too, I'm sure one the the threads covers 'sealers' also, to help prolong shine
If there's an aux source and no iput on facia then more than likely be rear input, some are RCA-Aux, and some are 3.5mm, no way of telling till you pull it out
If it's a screen I'd presume if there was an aux in rear then there would be an icon on screen (if touchscreen) that would be grayed out, or a source would show aux also, what's make/model of stereo?
