Updated brakes required for turbo conversion?

What's the car for Mr Frost? 10,000 commuting miles a year plus 1 trackday? Or 2,000 fast road miles, 5 track days and a few auto solos?

172 cup rolling road with graph@174 bhp

It's just a number, so who cares if it's 154, 174 or 204, it's how it drives that's most important, and now you have a benchmark so at least if you do make future upgrades or you just want to check that everything is still in the same ballpark then you know what your baseline was. If you're...

Daily tyre recommendations with wet track use

Always a compromise. Do you want a fantastic wet tyre that is a reasonable choice as a daily, or a cracking daily that isn't all that bad in the wet? Or do you want that excels in neither discipline but is better than average at both? What's the priority?

    Tim's Trophy - #455

Cheers Rob, nice of you to say. I'm looking forward to catching up and seeing (/experiencing) yours sometime in the coming months. I wasn't sure about the subframes, whether they represent good value for money, and to be fair I have only driven 50 miles on them so no verdict as yet but I have...

    Tim's Trophy - #455

Here's a few iPhone snaps I took after a quick wheel swap earlier. Not had time to clean or dress the tyres, and I need to swap a couple as they're the wrong rotation, but you get the idea. Not sure how long I'll keep them on for - Cup-offset and 25mm spacers is too much, plus Hankook V12s are...

    Tim's Trophy - #455

July 2016 - 60,500 Big thanks to Mike Woodford for giving the Trophy its biggest service in my ownership - belts, dephaser, injectors, plugs, oil etc etc etc. The car now also has new Brembo Max 280mm discs fitted along with Brembo callipers, which have been machined down to fit under 15s...

    280mm brembo users

For reference I've got ET43 (?) 2118s and 25mm spacers and there is shed loads of room.

    Speedline Turinis vs 2118's

When you say performance, what do you mean? Which round wheels rotate fastest?

What Was Your First Mobile Phone?

My first came in 1998 courtesy of Barclaycard - it was a monstrosity but it got me mobile a month before I went to uni. So many others had exactly the same phone... Then I had a T28s with a plasticky flip thing. Tiny phone, loved it: I left my Samsung A300 in a cab and never saw that...

    Using phone abroad.

Some of Vodafone's new price plans have inclusive texts, calls & data when you're roaming, it just gets deducted from the bundle with no additional fees. All depends on your plan, provider and country you're visiting.

    Rob's Supercharged Trophy

I must pop over and check out your seat frames - I've got a set but I'm nervous about the clearance and I don't want to damage my 'ICE' ;) I'm not going to Blyton but maybe our local rep will organise a meet we can both attend?

    Sachs Rear Shocks

Have you sought a price from a reputable Renault parts dealer? I assume you don't need the Sachs rear dampers that have been made exclusively for the 182 Trophy?

    Chris' Petrol Blue Project

It's that kind of attention to detail that makes a truly original car like this worth so much more ;)

New SM Intakes via group buy.

You could argue it's a complete waste of money, it's not like anyone has ever said the 1*2 is underpowered, furthermore it sounds like you're relatively new to Clio ownership yet you're chasing more power already. My advice, enjoy the car for what it is in standard form, there are plenty of...

    (Another) wheel refurb recommendation

How much are you looking to spend? Are you prepared to pay top dollar for a premium finish, or are you wanting them done on a budget?

    brembo shimming/milling

Chris Powell made his own brackets to fit 197/200/225/230 Brembo callipers with 280mm discs and 300mm discs, the former needing 5mm milled from the brackets in order to fit under some 15in wheels.

    Trophy NH05NVR on ebay

Loads of effort gone into trying to sell that car - took all of 5 seconds to read the ad. If you can find out the number you might find some more info on the Owners Register of the Trophy forum (cliotrophy.co.uk). Not too many on an 05 plate I don't think, not that that means much - buy on...
