Since having the inlet manifold off to seal the usual leaking rocker cover bolts one by one my coolant light has been on. Checked it was plugged in but its still on so do i need to put a new sensor in? Could be a good time to change coolant too.
cant find this when searching, some times and today included when I turn the key to start nothing happens. Today took three attempts leaving a few second pause between. Any one else get this? So far it always starts after a few goes but then may not do it for a week.
Quite simply the brake fluid reservoir touching the engine block when pulling off. I've had this for near two years and always thought it was a dodgy release bearing until I made it worse doing a brake overhaul causing the reservoir to touch constantly. Such a simple fix just wish i had noticed...
im having a nightmare, had my car on axle stands to replace my brakesbut now having done them im getting vibration through the pedals? What could possibly cause this? Also my brake reservoir is on such an angle its touching the engine, how is it held in place?
Replaces discs and pads and done a full bleed with ignition on and now my car just begins to start then stops like the power cuts or it seizes. Surely the only link to the brake maintenance is the fact the ignition was on? Doesn't seem like a low battery does it?
Followed the correct bleed procedure farthest first etc. But maybe not level ground, kept res.full but I now have spongy brakes and a creaky pedal. Sounds like air- my biggest fear!
Any tips?
I was talking to a tyre specialist in Hereford today and he told me the kumho kh17 I have on the front of my car are part of the reason my cars handling isn't what it was. He claims they are totally the wrong speed rating but they are 83V the same as the pilots on the back?!
Not sure what to...
I've fitted sportlines when I first got my 182 about two years ago and I get odd handling entering corners, is it possible that there is a small amount of camber movement in doing this that has caused this. There is a small amount of movement with the strut to hub bolts isn't there? What is the...
My not showed an imbalance of 8% front and 9% rear, it passed but is this to much? I want to even them up a bit so was thinking new pads and a clean and grease off the carriers and sliders.
I'm due am oil change soon and I've got enough if I mix fuchs 5w 40 from opie and some unipart 5w 40. Except for the fuchs being a better oil is there any harm in doing this?
Tried replacing what I thought was dodgy leads (kindly supplied by Adam) but it is still not firing on one cylinder. Could the coil be faulty or would that just not fire at all?
i've got only the cylinders firing, had a search so i'm thinking the best place to start would be new plugs then leads then coil pack?
oh and the engine management light is flashing does this indicate anything else? Dom
Basically my 182ff feels crap turning into bends. I've fitted new so rear shocks which I thought felt better but now I think it was psychological, so what can I try next? It doesn't feel as nice as my old 172
My 182 is on 50k and has felt a bit horrible turning in to corners and in general like I fight to keep the front end going where I want it to. This is at relaxed driving speeds. The steering feels loose and i've asked on here before but i'm now fed up as it doesn't feel controllable or tight. I...
this has been a bit of a niggle for a while but as the weather should get a bit better soon I want to tackle it, basically cornering doesn't seem as responsive as it should and it doesn't turn in nicely like there is a vagueness initially. Also I get a bobbly feel at times like i'm on those...
I've been having a running battle with my exhaust for a while now with it protruding over 25-30mm from having been near to flush. Is only after a run, is it the heat expansion? it looks a but nasty though.
Our could I have an engine mount failing? Which would be at fault?
Any ideas...
Need to change both of mine, done a search but can't find a guide. I know it's pretty straight forward but am I right to assume the 280nm torque is only for the hub nuts so I could get them torqued up at my local garage once i'm done
Done a few searches and I think I may have come to the conclusion I have a worn drive shaft. Normal driving is fine but when manoeuvring in car parks and on tight junctions I get a grinding noise and sometimes a feeling as if I've driven over a golf ball and the wheels have skipped (well that's...
Just wound my dip beam up by 2 complete revs, from 10 feet on my garage doors it went up about 3"is that going equate to much over full distance if you get my meaning. Been lowered on eibach sportlines and naff all distance on dip
