Possibly the TDC pick up. Fits on top of the gearbox close to the engine. Bit fiddly to get to but if you disconnect the plug and then re-connect it when it doesn't start, and then it does start, you have found the problem.
Hope that helps.
Sorry if the post is a bit vague, but you will see...
Easy when you know how. Like anything really.
Special tools are required for the rear brakes but the front pads are fairly straight forward.
If in any doubt, don't attempt the job. Your life and others maybe as risk if you botch the job.
Hope that helps.
It's a carbon canister for collecting petrol tank fumes.
Under certain conditions the injection ECU will operate a valve and suck the contents into the inlet to be burned off.
Left broken will allow fumes from your tank to vent to atmosphere.
You may also experience a bit of a flat spot when...
If it's auto, then that will be a different ball game! I would need to look up the speedo interface for an auto. I will get back to you tomorrow.

Hi Sugar79
1. Speedo not working is possibly due to the transducer fitted into the gearbox where a normal speedo would fit. Remove and refit the electrical connector and see if this cures the problem. If not, buy a new transducer.
2. Humming noise is possibly the alternator working harder when...
Security warning.
You should block out your reg number!
PPL could clone your reg and stick it on their blue Clios
Speed cameras / red light cameras / red light districts!
I think you get the point.
Hi Spirez
I have them to on my Clio and yes they can be a bit tempremental!
Sometimes they just dont work and I need to reset the wiper switch, or on other occaisions they just go mental!

Hi Gunner
HOW TO CHANGE YOUR OIL AND FILTER ON A CLIO 1.2 16V.
1. Run the engine to operating temperature.
2. Remove the drain plug from the sump. (8mm square drive required)
3. Allow the oil to drain into a suitable container until the flow has stopped.
4. Unscrew the oil filter...
With or without auto headlamps, if you try and flash your headlamps when they are on, with a one flick action, the lights will go to main beam. They only FLASH with the lights off.
The reason the lights turn off when and if you stall is to preserve battery power to enable a restart.

5 Cylinders and a VERY DODGY VIN!
As far as I know, all Renault VIN numbers start with VF1 then the model code. Like EG. VF1CB0M0512345678 etc.
Stay well away!
Looks like a con to me!

I think I know where you have gone wrong here.
Firstly, did you set the multiplex network computer to NO REAR WIPER?
Secondly, did you also alter the parameter for additional pop up boot interface connected to rear wiper (false) if not then you should have set it to (true)
Thirdly, did...
There is a special tool required to remove the axial ball joints attached to the rack.
Buggered without it!
Sorry!
Ask your local dealer if you could borrow the tool.
They will probably tell you to f**k off though!
Hi Pootle 172
It could be any number of thing connected to the airbag system that has caused the warning light to come on.
Invariably it is the seat belt pretensioner wiring under the seats.
It will be necessary to actually disconct the connector and then snap them back together. Please...
This normally happens in damp or wet conditions. Its just the pads sticking to the discs. As you drive off, a loud bang can be heard from the back as the pads release from the discs.
Is this what you are experiencing?

The aerials are a normal source of the water leak. Take it out and apply silicon sealer around the base and refit, making sure you tighten it sufficiently. Wipe away the excess sealer before it goes off!
Secondly, the inner seals can become detached. Make sure its correctly set in the channel...

More than likely a low brake fluid level.
Check your brake fluid ASAP and look at your front pads for wear. As the pads wear out, the fluid level drops. You may also want to a have a cursory look around the inside of your wheels for signs of brake fluid leakage which will also bring on the...
